Hopefully, with enough visibility, Walter, John, and the rest will see that killing the heart of the company and losing a powerful and diverse culture and Team Member base, is not the key to future success. As we wipe away everything that is unique about us and our culture, why would anyone shop with us? It may take conventionals time to catch up, but if we have a program that drives sales, for example. Organics. They can easily replicate it. If GAP or the MSC, prove to be a big enough sales driver, they will adopt it as well. What they can't adopt is our culture. That needs to be grown from the ground up. It took years of nurturing and development. Of course there were times we needed to prune the leaves, but never have we come this close to chopping the whole thing down.

My store opened 2 months ago, and 4 tls who 1) have lesser pay than the ones who have been in leadership forever and 2) most team leaders can't hold a candle to them. But. We are losing 4 tls and the store down the street with the most customer complaints in our region gets to keep all their tls. Some making capped out pay. Please tell me how this is fair. A blanket cut over an entire company is rarely based on tm performance.

The pay cuts are crazy, though. I don't want to be forced into a lower paying position, with a far drive. It blows my mind that I get emails about new store openings every week, but we can't afford the TM's at new the store. Our store was recently forced into a new gainsharing plan. We were told that we are "lucky" to be the TM's to get to try it out. It is the exact plan we have voted against since our store has opened over a decade ago.

If you're worth keeping you can find a spot, or don't have to worry in the first place. How is that hard to understand?

I have never loved a job more or worked harder in my entire life than I did for Whole Foods Market. I never was lazy or ignored customers. I genuinely loved coming to work every day. I don't know who you are/what store you work in but you are really unrealistic. In South region, all the buyers, all HSH, all the supervisors, all demo were let go with the opportunity for some to reapply for fewer positions. Do you really think that many ppl were "lazy?"

Nice job blaming those affected by this. Tons of hard working dedicated team members are being let go, but of course it is their fault for not working hard enough. Enjoy being corporate cock suckers while you can, your asses will be next on the block!

It's Team member happiness AND EXCELLENCE, the fact that so many LAZY, SELFISH AND ENTITLED TMS constantly leave that part out, and can usually only name this 1/2 of a core value is what lead to this.

They are leveling the labor budgets per team across the board. Inefficient teams will be hit hardest. This is 100% your own doing.

Think back to every time you ignored a customer to have a personal conversation with another tm, checked your phone on the clock, took an extra 5 or 10 minutes on your breaks.

The worst of the offenders are being let go.

Good riddance.
