I have been left standing. My faith has kept me strong at this time and I believe that this will make me a stronger and better person on the long run.
Perhaps all will reflect and take the true and correct course going forward.
I joined Chevron a few years back having studied hard and got an MBA along the way. I've continued to work hard, never been ranked below a 2+ and helped folks where I could.
This included helping research and write papers for a senior manager who also wanted an MBA. This I did for impure reasons - believing that it would help my career. This person promised much, said they would look after me at the PDC's ("I fought hard for you but could not get that role for you this time. I will next PDC"). Until their studies were complete. Then radio silence and no more communications.
I realise now I was weak and allowed greed to corrupt me.
There are many, many good folks in Chevron who I wish good fortune. However there are others who will abuse and are impure. For those folks - reflect and take the opportunity to change now. The good lord will be your ultimate judge.
