"The U.S. Department of Justice has announced that L-3 has agreed to pay $4.6 million to resolve overcharging allegations. The defense company performed rotary aviation maintenance and support services for the U.S. Army in Afghanistan, Iraq, Egypt and Kuwait under contracts with the U.S. Air Force. The U.S. government alleged that from 2006 to 2011, the company knowingly inflated labor hours for time spent by independent contractors at the military's Continental U.S. Replacement Centers in Fort Benning, Georgia and Fort Bliss, Texas."
