Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

Somebody better start cutting some ps 25's and above. Turn the BU;s over to good leadership and devalue SCM. because its going to get worse

So what now is the shareholders are going to demand change. Chevron has refused to do it on there own. The Alpha ROM1 showed ZERO change in corporate leadership! A letter with this information is being sent to the investors that are on the quarterly financial call......of course they have no clue how broke we are. The letters are a start and will push them to ask very hard questions in the coming months....Gorgon, Angola LNG, Big Foot, AMBU, Wheatstone.....I can go on.....is a result of super charged dumb! So Pat you better get ready to start answering tough questions.

Stop Work Authority was indeed ignored Why?. The RCA is so top secret that even employees in Nigeria such as myself never saw it. When the Nigerian villagers sued CVX my boss came into my office to tell me that CVX is under a "gag rule", and must not talk about the KS Endeavor accident which created a huge crater in the ocean floor and resulted in thousands of gallons of diesel fuel and other chemicals being released into the ocean. In fact, my boss said quote, "I don't know what they are suing us for." Just goes to show the kind of regard that NMA has for people and the environment.

We have also come to realize that the Chevron Way and the Tenets of Operation apply to everything except MCP execution and the core business of finding and developing O foolish as it may be.

“Chevron willfully refused or failed to desist from drilling,” the suit said. “Chevron (was) primarily concerned with profit while disregarding public and environmental health and safety when undertaking their ultra-hazardous activities on the KS Endeavour by continuing drilling on the gas borehole in the teeth of physical and verbal warnings of impending and imminent danger.”

The rig in question was allegedly operated by a subsidiary of Field Offshore Design Engineering Ltd. under a contract with Chevron and its joint-venture partner, the state-owned Nigerian National Petroleum Co., and was in the process of drilling a gas exploration well in the Funiwa field off the Niger Delta

(January 13, 2014, 8:11 PM ET) -- Nigerian coastal residents struck Chevron Corp. with a $5 billion suit in California federal court on Monday over a deadly 2012 offshore natural gas rig explosion that allegedly poisoned their air and water.

The suit says Chevron’s negligence is to blame for an explosion that destroyed the K.S. Endeavour rig, a drilling platform six miles off the coast of southern Nigeria owned in part by its subsidiary Chevron Nigeria Ltd. Two contract rig workers were killed and the resulting offshore fire burned for 46 days, according to company accounts.
