I've heard from several people that you are asked to sign your RIF paperwork as soon as you are called into HR but you are legally allowed 2 weeks to sign it. I have also heard that you can refuse to sign it and possibly get an attorney's advice to negotiate some more severance or stock awards that you earned.
Anyone have experience or heard anything about this?
I've seen this company always hand out big settlements even when they were right to just get rid of things.
