Got laid off Jan 2015. Most of the "friends" I had at SLB didn't give two fks when I got thrown out — just kept their heads down and were glad it wasn't them. Fine. Proceed. No fks given to you either.
One month later got a job that pays 2x and is closer to home. Glad to have been let go before the next wave of miserable oil & gas saturated the job market.
I remember the 1-2 months of stress I had before I got laid off. I could see it coming. It finally happened and it was a real sh*tty couple of weeks before I started going on interviews and got offers. One of the toughest times of my life.
I'm not gonna pretend like I don't want you to suffer what I went though. Fk you. To my THREE sht managers: I hope you all get laid off and stay that way for a year. You guys were terrible. To all the other turds in the cube farm doing monotonous sht work on their on their laptops, bullshitting your RIRs before the end of the year, and seeing how you can manipulate the system reports to get your PIP — all while under the threat of getting laid off — I hope they let you squirm a during the holidays, then ax you when you come back. Happy mother fking Christmas to you and your family!
Karma is a bitch and will probably come back to bite me, but f**k it. Just want to give a big middle finger to all you miserable scum still slaving away at your miserable SLB job. I hope you get that tap on your shoulder in the next few weeks. I hope I took your job last January. Nothing left for you skeez anymore.
Have fun fixing up the resume this holiday season! :)
