We have a "celebration breakfast" tomorrow for our work group at our Regional HQ, which was impacted significantly by RIFs during the first round of RIFs and again today. The "celebration" is to "celebrate" hitting a sales target. Not one single senior leader had the sense that the current state of mind of employees is not one of celebration rather it is one of grief for co-workers, friends and family with no job - not to mention the natural fear of "who is next" that is looming over most people's minds at this location #WAKEUP

@330. Give me a break so many companies are going through RIFS. It is a sign of the times! Does it suck, YES! Don't be rediculous I've been with the company since 1996 this happens and it's horrible but this is life! You sound like a whiney Yale Millenial!

Let me tell you about a little game VZW plays. The celebration is not a celebration at all. Rather it is a test to see who shows up with their happy game face on. And also note it is a breakfast, so that means they are really looking for the "go-getters" who get there on time. Employees who show up late with unhappy faces and sit in the back are duly noted and not remembered in a favorable light.
Everyone left should BOYCOTT!!!
