Intel Hoodwinked and Bamboozled by BK and Renee James two-for-one proposal

I guess the board members like "value" and seemed to think that they were getting it with essentially two CEOs for the price of one, which seemed too tempting to pass up. This leading to the exit of Dadi Perlmutter who was probably competing for the same spot. Perlmutter should have got himself a Sarah Palin in the last minute to stand any chance.

What they got was double the trouble. McAfee? Missing the boat on Mobile?

It wasn't even THAT long before Renee James announces she's pursuing a CEO opportunity elsewhere. That along is a rather unusual move, as most seem to announce such things after they have secured a position elsewhere already. What's she been doing for the past year or so? Fear not, she's been diligently analyzing the stock market and insider information to make sure that she cashed out most of her tens of millions of dollars in stock at the optimal time, netting her the top possible dollar to the penny.

Chalk it up as another bad Intel decision to add to the file of major blunders...

she is over-rated. by the interview comments (link below), she obviously thinks very high of herself. most Intel employees did not think much of her. Glad she's gone.

Bk n Renee dont see eye to eye. Their RNB cube is purposely opposite far away per bk instruction. Bk want both positions but he has no vision. The only mission is to fill his pocket and act emotionally by saying he feel sorry for her daughter's friends parent work in Intel. Even hollywood ppl can act better...

The only ones being"Hoodwinked and Bamboozled" are the worker bees. I happened to come across a job opening in Chandler (6/03 date) on Career Builder that is verbatim req openings for when technician positions are posted for AZFSM on jobs online. The pay was between 16,000 - 21,000 a year which can be 60-75% less then an experience MT at Intel. How do I know this? Well, there is only one company that has a 12 inch Fab in Chandler and again, line by line it reads like a req on jobs online.

SHAMEFUL and MORALLY UNETHICAL!

Board should have picked an outsider!

The problem at intel is so ingrained in the culture of the cultural from top to bottom, nobody inside can step above it or see above it.

The external problem is that the talent that is good all is leading companies that have a roadmap chopping at the bits. Why take helm of the titantic, what are the core assets that they have that they can leverage in their career? Many of the most talented leaders in technology all have better smaller and agile ships with bigger potential than the Titantic that is intel.
