Lol you read all this and still thinking of working at Intel? Just lol
What does ACT stand for? (Sorry, I'm an outsider approached by some Intel folks for a job).
There is no scan out records in Folsom nor in Santa Clara as far as I know. So...how...then...?
Easy! As a manager who has let things become a little "slack" from the rule book, just start "Tagging and Bagging". This means that your hold your direct reports accountable for the smallest of infractions and write them up for each one. The poor bastards won't know what hit them, and if you're lucky they'll be such creatures of habit that they will let down their guard and provide plenty of opportunities for you to "Tag" them. Then, later on when the VSP programs roll out you will be prepared with a crop of "losers" to offer as a sacrifice to the money gods.
Ask them to pick pay raise over stocks and not inform them that lower stocks means low performance.
Snub Apple iPhone back in 2006 and watch the smartphone take over the world and cause an unprecedented decline in PCs while simultaneously handing over the semi leading edge high volume to TSMC and Samsung.
Pretty sneaky and clever there.

Divestitures
With the focal system in place there is no need to be sneaky anymore.
"Lazy", "Americans"
Pick one. Unless you meant Europeans?
firing lazy americans
At the non-exempt level if you let any of your yearly safety classes go overdue you were walked. In addition, if you mis-processed or any blemish you got ISP'd.
I hear my group did not make their numbers with ACT so more Tributes have to be offered up. If one assumes most of the VSPs and of course all of the ISPs are gone, and I can't imagine any one turned down the ERP, then they will have to come up with another "criteria" for issuing more VSPs. I'm guessing some candidates for marginal performance will include number of times you WFH based on scan-in/out badge records, how much time you spend on external websites (IT has those metrics too), or even if you had excessive (if you are exempt) time OOP due to illness, family issues, etc. Plus of course they could cut more programs and functions to get more HC that way.
