Ahh " The Money was good" I heard them exclaim. " It's time to rid ourselves of this Union" they wailed, as they sipped their c---tails in evenings at the hotel bar. In the morning though, as they drove out of the garage with a slight hangover, and a bit weary of the 12 hour days, those Union folks were out in front chanting, "Stand up Now, and fight, or YOU will be out here next."
Blinded with gluttony, or just plain drunk on company Kool Aid, They laughed a said, "our company will take care of us for this valiant effort to rid ourselves of you, this horrible Union work force." But did anyone ever ask themselves Why does the company want to get rid of this Union?
Could it be that when a work force stands up, sticks together, and fights for just fare treatment, for their efforts in making a company Great, and profitable, Is that their crime? Or maybe, the Union is threat to the leaderships compensation and bonuses?
Remember everyone, there would be No Verizon without the Union workforce that literally built this company from scratch. How dare any leadership that passes through this company show me the door, and treat me unfairly. I will Fight for My job, and My Company, as these leaders pass through grabbing as much money with both hands as they possibly can. Leaving me without a job.
To all you EWA'ers, In your very short sightedness, I hope the few dollars you scabbed for, trying to get rid of me will bring you through this cold winter, and you didn't blow it on fancy new cars, and vacations liked you bragged about to us. You can't say We didn't warn you.
