People on this boared that bash unions and public sector employees only cause they have less benifits and no job security like they have .envy is what they have ,so talk bad about them all you want ,but at the end of the day they are working and you just got or will get your walking papers ,so keep bashing them ...

Why all the hating on public sector workers. The USPS do a good job. The DMV is eons ahead of where they used to be. My kids teachers are top notch. Our fighting men and women, the best! You want things done right, get a public sector worker working on it.

Are you kidding me? The US Postal Service is GREAT! Like most government-run entities (i.e., The Armed Forces), they do a phenomenal job. Putting those folks down because of some misconception does not lessen the effective job they're doing, and have always done. Stop badmouthing hardworking Americans out of ignorance and hate.

Continuation from my earlier "Unions are an excuse"....... Well, I'm not a union employee or a Verizon employee at that. I work for another company completely and very happy. I was a Verizon Communications union employee and I saw what could happen to "Union" employees. I chose to leave the company for a better opportunity. So before you batch me for thinking that I am out of a job.... I'm not. Verizon sold FL, CA and TX, do you really think they care about their union. They will also downgrade in the NE, merge call centers, outsource to India and Argentina, even a contract office in Arizona. These people had no clue how to handle the calls but hey they were making less an hour than "the union" employees. Florida at one point had over 1000 sales associates and now probably have 150. You call that Union protected..... I think not.

Dmv is the worst behind the US post offices! The service there is horrible. But to OP, you are making me think the the union is the modern mafia, offering protection for payment. It's amazing what's allowed to happen in this country.

It's a fact that union workers earn $200 more in total compensation than non-union workers doing the same job. Spin your anti-worker propaganda however you wish, it's the bottom line that counts.

Unions are an excuse...... It's their way of making money too.... Doors can still get shut with unions. Companies can find ways around the small print to close doors or offer packages. I've been there and have seen it. The union doesn't fight as hard as they say they do.

Actually thr unions are part of the problem - the company never wanted the call centers to unit noze ans thats - in many peoples opinion - why they shut them down - since 2004 this has been happening wih call centers shutting down in this company. So no "paying dues" wont help at all.

Yes. See how unions have made the DMV number 1 in customer service.
