Man, I talked to a lot of people in the Deer Valley engineering office today and the moods and attitudes are lower than I've ever seen them in 25+ years of being here. I couldn't find anyone who still cares about this company or if they succeed. They are just going through the motions only to avoid losing their jobs but there is no enthusiasm whatsoever. If Honeywell Aerospace is to survive, they're going to have to dump everybody and start over, because this group of people have been pushed too far to recover.
HR has been reserving conference rooms for the week after next so that's probably when the RIF axe is going to fall. And those of us who don't get laid off are slapped with a furlough the very next week. So stress us out to the max by making us wait to hear if we've been laid off, and penalize us anyway even if we're not.
Honeywell used to be a great place to work. Lots of fun projects, smart people, sensible management, decent compensation. But this current leadership team has all but destroyed the company and its culture. I've had enough. If I was a little older I'd be gone tomorrow. Please Honeywell, just lay me off already. It would be a mercy killing at this point.
