Thread regarding Qualcomm Inc. layoffs

HR deserves to be all let-go. Try to conclude for yourself, after reading these many threads!

Hi guys/gals, I get on this website from time to time. (I believe some Qualcomm HR persons must also read these threads, for professional and personal reasons). I also believe, some Qualcomm executives must read these posts from time to time. If they don't, they are must be either very ignorant or just playing head burying ostrich.

Mostly, people complaint about

1) Company working culture;

2) Career advancement;

3) H1Bs;

(it seems that most people are satisfied with compensation and San Diego living).

Qualcomm should just openly talk about these problems to its employees. Why not? Elephant in the room.

"HR, do you really want us to do your job? identify the problems, propose solutions, democratically debate various options here, then you can impose them?" Do your DAMN job, and listen to the people!!!!!!!!!!!!! Geez, at least HR deserves to be let-go.

HR cannot fix any issues at Qualcomm. The problems at Q are too entangled for HR to fix. No HR (even the best) can fix Q.

The company has grown quiet big. Too many long term idiots "ruling" with their old school flawed mentalty across all divisions in the company. These old timers protect each other. Most are useless, terrified to venture into anything new and are very comlacent, fungus...,. They prevent new comers from progressing due to their insecurity. These guys need to be fired.

One good thing HR can do is prevent these neanderthals from taking any management roles. Or at least have them (re) interviewed (not promoted), before giving them any management (people mgmnt in particular) responsibilities. These backward long timers live in their own box and within there little cliquey community, and fail to develop any communications or people skills, let alone people management. Why bestow the management responsibility on these freaks.

Look, you bunch of whoosies, HR's job isn't to hold you're pathetic little trembling hands. They're job is to assist with hiring & firing while protecting the company from potential (generally frivolous) lawsuits when "sensitive" weenies like yourselves get their panties all bunched up because a manager forced you to log off of FB and get your flabby butts into the lab.

Yes they're a bunch up fuking puppets. Don't trust them with your issues with your positions or bosses. They will just sweep it under the rug. Biggest A-HOLES is HR reps!
