Customer Service on all levels has been a sh*t show for me and my members. You can tell Humana doesn't keep seasoned staff or bother to pay enough to keep good people around. People who actually know stuff and can give accurate information. Seasoned staff also collaborate a lot more between departments.

A friend has worked as an Actuary at Humana 30 years. His impeccable work ethic, intelligence, education, passing of all levels of actuarial tests, great people skills with other Humana employees, high-ranking communication & negotiation skills with clients and much more earned him a middle-management position supervising many employees for the past several years. He was informed on a recent Monday he is being let-go. As others have noted, he is required to stay-on at Humana for several months to complete contract negotiations or will lose his severance package. He is at Humana working 14-16 hours a day, at least 6 days a week, to complete & present these vital contract proposals. Yes, he has made a decent salary, but he's by no means wealthy. Humana is losing a top-notch, extremely loyal employee-- actually throwing him away to save a little money. It's very ironic a huge Insurance Company is firing him & many others in large part so they (Humana) don't have to pay employee health benefits, yet they pay their CEO's multi-millions every year. Something is egregiously wrong & Humana deserves to fail....

Was let go / taken out of production in February with pay. I can't imagine how horrible it is now! And for those affected who had to stay until march 17! The only positive that came from it was being able to look for a job instead of being stressed out over metrics. Started receiving severance right away, I hope the same happens for everyone else effected.

So not only did Humana get rid of its best employees but they purposely screwed everyone over to ensure we could not get unemployment! They had our last day on a Monday of a new pay period and instead of putting the last day with severance check they are separating them this the severance package won't start for 4 weeks when we thought it was two weeks. So bills coming in and daycare money due and we can't get unemployment or anything. Thanks Humana!!!

I am off work FMLA Had break down And very sick . I heard a meeting came down on Friday and that metrics were always 8.8 Peer metrics were just a tool. So the damage is done . We were tortured and threatened . I feel like there is some sort of lawsuit against them. Many lost their jobs either by quitting or laid off. Does anyone know if there is a lawsuit with working long hours and threats ?

The weeks Since the layoff announcements are getting more stressful by the day as unrealistic metrics are forcing employees to work through breaks and lunches to sit in a chair for eight hours a day. Extreme micro management on stellar employees that are able to work independently it's also creating great stressed amongst the team members. Humana is dangling the severance package like a carrot to a rabbit and is trying to find every way to fire or make people quit to avoid paying out there severance package. I find this extremely disappointing for such a huge Company that supposedly promote wellness yup they're employees are getting on healthier by the minute by developing both physiological and behavioral stressors specifically due to working environment. We were told that March 17 is our last day and we have two weeks to transition however certain coaches are refusing to let their employees partake in this part of the severance package. The lack of respect for employees in the lack of respect for wellness is profound. I'm not sure why class-action lawsuit has not been filed yet but I would definitely be willing to join one.

I survived the first week of CGX 2.0......but reading the most recent comments makes me sad and mad for how we all have been treated. One of my members told me that he read something in USA today about Humana not participating with Medicare in 2018. I couldn't find the article. Hope those who are looking for another job find one soon.

They did me a favor by laying me off with pay. I have never worked under such horrible conditions. The ones that were not cut, they will put so much pressure and stress on you hoping to force you all to quit. They kept the ones that are producing the most for them. They want you to continue making money for them while adding more pressure to your plate hoping they won't have to pay anymore severances. They know they are going under and they know their plan to continue to add pressure to make you quit until they fold. It's Obvious to why they took their money out of stock. I hope the ones left find a better company soon. And, I hope a lawsuit will take place against Humana for how they treat their employees. Being pushed to do more and more and more without able to take breaks and being constantly threatened of being fired is no way to work. This really does need to be known by the press and I hope someone is working on it. People have bills to pay and their family to feed and shouldn't have to work under such stress because of a job ran by people that are abusing their employees just to pocket money for themselves. They do not care about their members or their employees. All they care about is making their millions.

Well if it makes you feel any better, while you were stressed about providing for your family and the shock of being laid off, 8 executives became millionaires on Tuesday by dumping their stock. All while you and I were stressed about what the next few weeks will bring.

Great company, huh?

They tell you to apply internally but it is rejection after rejection. Everything has been updated and changed to try to gain another wah position and nothing is good enough. When I first applied I got a call in 48 hours..now they have some voice interview machine and it breaks all the time. Lifestyle change for sure. Depression central over here! Family destroyers and everything you worked to achieve. Severence should be longer for all of this. This company goes around everything. They lost a great employee because of money greedy people. Karma s---s. Hope they go bankrupt or get massive lawsuits. Yeah, I know you are reading this...

This is the worst company that I have ever worked for. They treat their employees like slaves.

I have been with Humana for 6 years. I've gone through their constant array of changes, listened to their speeches on wellness. I've been told that sitting more than 2 hours is not good you must get up and walk. That was. Okay for the first 4 year we were treated like humans.

we were encouraged to make quality calls. It did not matter how many members you contacted as long as the calls were quality calls.Well! 2016 & 2017 tells another story. We are told that if we don't meet our numbers we will be fired. Like everything in Humana these numbers changed too. We were told 9 successful calls a day, then 10 11 or more. This doesn't seem like much to the non HCM but try to get members on the phone that are so tired of getting calls from HumanA. Also in the middle of this new work plan, we have to learn another computer operating system. Let me ask, do you think they want you to quit.? I wish they would offer us a buy out, I'll leave tomorrow. Disgusted!!!

There is absolutely no reason other than pure greed for the treatment of the employees in all roles at Humana at Home. We have worked hard to meet the needs of members while saving Humana billions of dollars. Enough that the CEO is paid more than 10 million a year and a bonus of more than 27 million in stocks were awarded to a few executives because of all OUR hard work and dedication to OUR members that WE care about. Lay us off or pay us severance but DO NOT force unpaid forced overtime, NO lunches, NO breaks, NO time to take care of our own health, NO balance between work and family and set unobtainable metrics so you can fire us to put another dime in your pockets. And while leadership pads their pockets the members are not eating or seeing their doctors because they cannot afford the increases in premiums and co-payments. DO NOT be an over-achiever in metrics because it will only hurt you in the end and they are using US against each other, setting us ALL up for failure and reasoning for dismissal. The above post is correct we need to reach out to find out our rights and let the public know the truth about Humana’s treatment of employees. I know many are seeking legal advice as to labor rights, but if anyone has been advised or knows of how to obtain or seek legal advice for all of us we need a good SAFE communication site to unite on #ENOUGHISENOUGH

This company took away my peace of mind, stressed me out on the daily, and demoralized me on a daily basis. I curse the day I ever responded to their recruitment email through careerbuilder!

I am from Cincinnati area. The working conditions are horrible. My dream job as a Nurse had turned in a nightmare and many of my local co workers feel the same way. Long hours, unreasonable expectations and no regard for a work life balance. It did not start that way but currently, HAH is the worst employeer I have ever had in 25 years as a Nurse. No respect

We can't start " working smarter & not harder" , a favorite comment of this CEO, lol, till this CEO truly understands what he's doing! Apparently the people under him either don't understand either or too intimidated to speak up to this hom! You can see this on the webcam meetings, people look uncomfortable around him.

5 contacts a day???? We are up to 10 successful member contacts per day and are expected to do a full care plan on each successful call. Most days we take no lunch and/or breaks unless we would rather work until 7:00pm. Start time is 8:00am and that is a long day. I am commenting on the role of HCM-RN; we still don't know how many, if any, HCM-RNs were laid off.

Agree 100 percent. Grind all day to meet metrics and sometimes take shortcuts during the calls if needed. It's the only way to meet the expectations sometimes.

To the idiot who claims to shut and work. I guarantee you those of us who

Work from home do

More in a day than anyone in an office. There is no time for breaks and chats with coworkers. This is number driven work and they monitor everything we do through the phone system.

To the ignoramous who so crudely commented about work let me tell you I do not work in my pajamas I work very hard 8.5 hours a day I Neibel to take my breaks to meet my metrics and I do a damn good job I take my job very seriously and I do not just sit in my pajamas all day and further if you don't have any idea what you're talking about you need to refrain from using this job board because I know for a fact that when we get stellar service you can't get five contacts always in a day because some of these members require a lot of time and a lot of assistance so yes that metric is totally out of line when you're doing stellar documentation and you never get any charts back so maybe you need to go back to whatever Lala land you're in and stay there because your comments don't belong on this chat! Learn what we do before typing something that rude!

I think you all need to shut up and work if you weren't affected! It's not hard to make 5 contacts a day and basically sit in your pajamas working on your own schedule!

I was disappointed to hear how this was handled or mishandled. I agree that all Humana associates have been busting their butts, working overtime without compensation (salaried), and trying to still assist our members. It is impossible to provide quality service when more metrics are being heaped upon us. I am one who did not lose their jobs this time....very heartbreaking for those who did.

I worked.for Humana for nearly 10 years in MarkerPoint Sales. I Put up good numbers. I never had a coaching and even was in the Presidents Club in Hawaii in 2007 for sales performance. One day I was.fired out of the blue for what should have been a verbal warning if that. My peers were shocked. Anyway Humana is a top heavy company. Gary Gore is a terrible manager and In hind site, It was a blessing that I'm no longer there. While I was there my wife passed away and 4 month later (still having good numbers mind you) Was called in the office and asked by Gary Gore "when is enough enough?" as to why I was taking PTO. Aweful management, aweful culture.
