I've heard from a reliable source in HR that there is talk about reconsidering the above what's legally required redundancy packages. The reason behind it is that they've realised too many people have now given up and are just waiting for the package. They figure if the package was only what is legally required this will either encourage these people to leave through their own accord or prompt them to start being productive again.
The scary part is, you won't hear about the change until your sat in front of HR and they communicate the package to you. If I hear more I will update this feed.
