Thread regarding Lowe's Cos. layoffs

Think they will bring back the butt kickin ASM's and Dept Mgrs??

You all know they got rid of the ones who helped build them into the Giant they are/were in Communities they opened doors in, right? Ya know, the ASMs who are in their 50's that kicked butt with keeping sales up, moral high, cared about the hourly associates, worked side by side with them and even took heat for their dept mgrs so things didn't hit their file, earned their increases on pay and promoted associates... Those are the ones that were rid of, just like the dept mgrs that were given a year to find a job. Understand it is the good ole boy rule, no matter if you are the glue that kept things going and reviews that rock and awesome letters on file with Corp from customers who took the time to let Corp know how much the ASM is appreciated, how much they appreciated the Hrly Dept Mgr... Proof and Truth is seen with what is going on in these stores, it prooves ASMs rid of did go above and beyond as to why they held positions for years. 3 stores that we know of alone Moral Dropped, Sales Down, Ghost Town and Lowes puts out there the BS reason of their Restructure. Uh huh to give "better service by putting associates more out there ect..." Oh and Rumor Has It that Lowes will be making it to where 1 Store Mgr will have to run 2 Stores, so Store Mgrs looks to be on their list of giving the Boot. Not to mention Human Resource People will be too.

Hey, you want to talk Class Action? Your Severance does say You Can Not Sue and You Can Not Work For anyone that is on their list...

Lowes puts out there how they are hiring ex amt of people. Oh please, this is not true. They hire pt time every darn yr on seasonal, so no this is not new. News puts out there layoff 500, no it is in the Thousands. 1 to 3 ASMs in each Store is over 2400 alone, 8 Dept mgrs in each store, back end of the stores... Do the math plus Hrs and Rumor of Store Mgrs...

Bad investment in early 2016 with Lowes buying Shares at approx 24.00 ea and only worth approx 12.00 ea in a Home Improvement Store in Canada. What, just so they can get their feet in the door to try and rub another Home Improvement Store out? Research it and ask why did their Financial Person back then decided to "Retire". Yea they care about the employees, of which affects customers in the end... Now what was the reason for this "Restructure" again??? Boils down to the Stock Holders, not employees or putting more out there to provide more for the customers... Yea there ya go!

To All of You ASMs who were Booted You Guys and Gals Proove You Rocked and Were The Glue That Held These Stores Together. To All of You Dept Mgrs and Back End Associates, Walk With Your Heads High Up and Keep Rockin as the Customers Need You.

Niblock will be gone before this falls apart. He is going to leave soon and cash in all his stock. After it hits the fan it will crumble. For years Lowe's has been tricking wall street. Eventually it will catch up with them.

I am a CSA 5, from Cincinnati. Customers are upset that they can't get help, I can't find 1 (one) happy employee in the store. Same with all the other stores in out area. Company is going to heck quickly.

Nibloc does need to bring back all of the Asms they let go and put back the Department Managers that are no longer in their positions. Stores are going to sh*t and we are getting pretty tired of not receiving the experienced help. We too had paint mixed and it is horrible. We needed help in the lumber area and no one is around for isles. Plumbing was the same thing. We are going to check Home Depot and see how they add up now.

Heard Nibloc was given a million on his raise this year. Not sure if that is true, but if it is that is pure bs as they are destroying families with these layoffs. Hell it is their company, do as they will, but to destroy those who helped build them is just bs and prooves they are not about the customers!!! I had paint mixed, sh## is wrong so I do fully agree this department needs the people that know what they are doing. Pissed me off as it is Lowes paint and they pulled people from other departments to cover this area as no one was there to help me and the others that had waited 15 minutes for someone to mix paint.

Went in yesterday, again for paint, and no one was there. Hardly any associates in the store. This restructure crap was a ploy to get rid of the older people making more than these young kids who know nothing about manager work or mixing damn paint!!!

Niblock doesn't give a rats a-- about you or anyone outside his top people. He's a piece of sh-- stock driving CEO. Whatever it takes to move stock up.. He has doomed the company because now hiring season full time who the hell would work for Lowe's for 6 months knowing they could be let go any day?? No benefits. Nothing. Low pay. I am a CSA 5 and I will not be a full time CSA period. I am worth more then the $$$ they want to pay me.. I'll give you an example of why this doesn't work.. Not everyone can mix paint or even cut blinds or any other involved thing we offer. You teach them great let them gain experience. Then guess what?? They leave because they won't stand for no benefits or any future... So they hire another.. Guess what they have to teach them and then you still don't know the type of person you are getting. As long as Lowe's doesn't value seasoned employees this company is only going to go into sh--ter. They removed so many projects. Like the Hero's program and the build to grow.. Nickle and Dime a top 50 company. All for the share holders. Can't run it with pimple faced teenagers or college grads. They don't care and are unreliable.

Restructure needed to start with the Good Ole Boys Club. They want to see a difference and see more filled pockets, bring back those Asms 50+ yr olds that had been with them for 10+ yrs, leave the Dept Mgrs in place that have been doing their jobs for years... This will present a flourishing Company that speaks loud about how they are Ethical and they do Care about Their Dedicated Employees.

Mr Nibloc, hope you or your people are reading this stuff. You could learn a few things if you are. Pull all of the Asms files that were given the boot and make calls to them, that would be a good start.
