It sounds pretty benign but there's a new policy in place for softlines associates to leave hangers on all apparel that use them. Normally, stores collect them to send to CRC (central return center). At the CRC, they are reused for apparel freight.
Is there something bigger behind this? As in, we don't need any more hangers because we aren't going to be around in a few months? Why bother shipping hangers back to a distribution center?
I could be wrong, but you really have to analyze any new program, initiative, policy, etc. that the company puts out. Usually, signs point to a future without Sears or Kmart.
