I was talking to a member the other day. He was asking me the "What happended to Sears" question. I get asked that a LOT.
People love Sears. The things he said were so passionate. We sell EVERYTHING.
I laughed.
And I told him this story.
Because we do. I was selling a guy a dryer one night and he mentioned his wife had left him. I said "What else did she take in the Uhaul? TV? Mattress? Furniture? I can't sell you a dog but I can sell you everything else she rolled away with. "
What the doom and gloom era on this site doesnt realize is Sears does have a place. And it always will.
Because that guy could have gone on Amazon and ordered a bunch of stuff but he wanted someone to talk to while he was buying things.
A website will never replace that.
A chat box with auto response will never replace that.
We sell EVERYTHING!!!!
Please don't lose sight of that. And I'll keep fighting.
I never want to go back to ordering from a catalog. Which is the internet without pages.
And I thanked him. And reminded him that stores are still important.
