Lowes is dying

Corporate does have a plan-and I think it is as follows. By cutting back payroll company wide. it increases the bottom line at the end of the fiscal year,thus raising stock prices. All of the individuals that own large amounts of stocks (really large) will dump it in large amounts, Making them rich beyond belief. when that happens, the stock will tank -and HD will buy Lowes for about a quarter for what it is really worth. With all the changes that have taken place,this is where I think the company is headed.

I see people walk out the door every day,very frustrated-- because there is no one to help them.

Really boils down to one word --Greed.

Bwahahaha what’s going to be exciting getting more work for the same pay? Getting a new system that was never fully thought out? Being yelled at because many people don’t want to learn or adapt, and you did your best? Face it your corporate overlords are not the best and brightest tech has to offer. If they were, they wouldn’t work for Lowe’s. Lowes lost its way, has its managers reading from scripts and using talking points that are so unbelievable CNN is jealous. Those that are staying deserve the truth, but they have to dig and learn for themselves.

Yes by offering no raise this year if they stay and a pay cut for Service Managers who were Dept Managers.

Seriously!! Who are u to say stay? Are u crazy! Or a corporate s--- up?

Lowes health benefits get worse every year the price goes up and deductible increase.

Health plans were Aetna now Blue Cross Blue Shield .

The medical plan i could afford cost Lowes $8,000 a year and my cost was $3,500.

Note:if you have a minor surgery you are responsible for $6000 of the $12,000 surgery.

Lets fo the math.

Lowes pays $8000.00,

Employee pays $9,500.

Lets look at the 401 k plan.

The 401k match is better at other companies.

Sure you can purchase Lowes stock but Lowes stock has been low.

Not like the price split in 2005.

If you’re gonna stay check out other companies who really take care of their good employees. In my book the last 10 years Lowes has been struggling to keep up.

So lets see how this works out for those who give it a chance.

Next year maybe theyll make you work till 10pm on Christmas Eve and get rid of more employees and encourage more s-xual harassment among there current managers or I bet. Plus even worse health benefits.

Lowes also encourages bad behavior like s-xual harassment by moving those who commit it to another store. Doesnt matter could be a store manager or a department manager. Oh yeah guess that department manager got what they deserved with the layoffs.

Hes gone now. Lol!

Anyways Is the grass greener elsewhere?

We posted another disappointing qrt. Same stores only up 1.9% meanwhile HD up 4.6% same period. Facts are Lowe's is scrambling and they don't have a clue. Our most loyal and brightest are leaving for PT and FT seasonal positions without any experience. Why would they stay they have no incentive to work hard,. SSEI is lower each year and harder to achieve. Now tied to market meaning you could kill it and not get anything. I am 10+ year employee and a CSA 5. I am probably going part time because I will not stay making the minimal money they want to pay me and work 40 hours with the expensive benefits..

Good change takes time? LOL Lowe's IS killing its employees by cutting payroll, not hiring more FT (they aren't), and getting rid of older workers & replacing them with younger, dumb workers. It's only a matter of time before Lowe's is caught in an age discrimination lawsuit that makes headlines.

This is just a way to maximize profits while the DIY craze is still hot...soon 20,000 or so workers will be let go and CEO bonuses will skyrocket. At the same time the corporate shareholders will cash in big when they dumb their stocks...

Lowe's is the enemy.

Lowes is putting it's good employees first good change takes time if you just hang on it will all be for the better ,they have invested into a program brining us good trained leadership so we are on one page with accountability. Nobody is getting his is a transformation hang on do the best you can now it's going to be very exciting the new things happening but we must be patient takes time they do have the best interest of lowes we will be no 1.You have to to clean it up to look and be at best,hang on....?
