Damron's Email - a small but important victory for all of us here

This is actually the first time he did something as a reaction to something I did. So, I posted here, I discussed it and it took things in my own hands no matter how futile my efforts on layoff.com were (I was aware of this)....

The fact that Damron is responding to something that I've done and discussed (and all of you too) feels empowering, it's almost satisfying.

I do not like what he said, but it's better than nothing which was, historically, always the case.

Before, Damron and his crew would know everything and we'd know nothing - all we could do before is to wait to be moved, discarded, shuffled and terminated. They would plan the whole thing, and execute the plan while all we could was to wait while constantly kept in the dark.

Oh my, how things have changed.

Got letter in Central Florida to specialists and above. It is not fake.

The letter is real if anyone cares.

People need to look at what is happening in the California stores they have already gotten rid of specialist jobs in January. But yet we are all not aware of that. NOBODY is going to run a company two different ways you all need to stop and think. THEY can lie to us over email but they are not going to tell us the truth it will cause a frenzy California store have had about 8 months of no specialist Jobs besides millworks and plumbling with no problems....so better believe that's coming company wide.

The email should have gone to all associates as all of us are worried about our jobs now.

The letter verbiage is back up. The email is real. I received it Friday morning. It was sent to Specialist and above.

I'm an employee at Lowes in Fl and received the email forwarded to all of us at my store from our store manager. The letter is real.

This is so much BS on here, if all of you hate Lowes that much, don't trust Lowes then quit . You are part of the problem, they will never be able to please some of you pansy a-- b--ches . Move on, leave the drama to Hollywood and quit causing hate and discontent in the stores. Get over it!!!!

Anyone can write on this board and put any name they wish as to whom wrote the post.

looks like a BS letter to me, Niblock is the one to send out the "restructure notices" look back at your emails to right after the corporate jobs were reduced and sent over seas to india. about a week to two weeks after the DMs' were restructured. that story was leaked to the media and 24 hours later we ALL got the email from niblock about how "painful" it is to have to keep up with our competitors. THINK people!! rumor control is not needed if there is no truth to the grounded information. additionally ALL GMs' of all the stores all know four weeks out what changes will occur. typically bound by confidentiality contracts nothing can be said. lemme ask you people this. is your management throwing any parties any time soon for your stores in order to peek the non confidential EOS that should be rolling out soon.

No email in my lowe's email. Am a specialist too. Might begin to think it's fake? Sure hope not

the homepage has been share 2700 times. that's a lot of shares, imagine how many people saw this board. they had to do something, hence the email. not sure if this is victory of any kind, he'll still do what he planned to do. bye bye HR, welcome shared services and self service.
