Thread regarding Lowe's Cos. layoffs

Anybody else thinks this encapsulates current disarrayed state of Lowe's perfectly?

So, a guy decided to drive into a Lowe's store in Florida (not to, into it), hopped out of the car, and started to saw lumber. They had to call the police on him. It's funny but sad at the same time, as it seems to perfectly encapsulate the current state of the company.

The drive-through lumber yard sounds like a great idea. Aisle is wide enough, just position part-time associates every so many feet, customer pulls in and tells you what they want. Lowe's associates load up the product and customer drives up to the check-out. No need to call for "Code 50's" any more.

We'll just have to educate the new part-timers as to why it's called a 2 by 4 when it measures 1 1/2 by 3 1/2 inches.

Whatever it takes for Nibby to get his bonuses and stock options. This Amazon deal must have cost him millions. Big smile on my face as Karma sets in..

We have Indians (people from India, not Native Americans) who sit in their cars in the lot, order off the Internet, come in and expect their order to be ready. Usually it is for a tool that is marked way down and no one can find.

Always evolving. Lowe's needs a drive up window for the $1.18 bag of screws that were ordered on the internet. So many small BS internet sales like that. Felt like a personal shopper. Took a long time to check out those idiots as punishment for making us go through all the work to pull a stupid bag of screws.

We already have customers doing that for propane exchanges, they drive up to the store and use their car horn to motivate someone to come out and swap their propane can for them. Beats calling for a code 50 when no one shows.

The guy could use car horn as his call button. Corporate would look at cost savings in call button battery life and spprove concept. Bam... drive thru lumber program approved!

I imagine that somewhere in Lowe's corporate is someone thinking "what a great idea! A drive through lumber yard!"
