If you are over 40 at Oracle, pack your bags you will be sacked eventually. MH has made no secret he has no love for the older generation. College kids are cheaper and that's what he wants... cheap labor. It was even mentioned in the all hands meeting. It has been his strategy for years. Hire young and cheap and replace the older generation.
His own interviews show this time and time again in public, inside the company, he shouting it fromthe roof tops. We hire young, not old. Its our strategy. Its also age discrimination.

Direct quotes on age discrimination:
MH Quote: "We’re hiring from the college because we think this will be materially more successful. "
What do you do with the older people? Lay them off. Looking at the demographics from the last layoff. Who is getting let go? How many people under 30 were let go regardless of performance?
MH Quote: "We are going against the grain and against the data that tells me we’re going to fail. But get this: you’ll hear companies say: “We’re going to hire the best people.” This is such nonsense."
So why is MH hiring young?
MH Quote: "So in the next five years it looks like we’ll have a healthy economy, a healthy pool of people but not enough skills. Why is this? Because 60 percent of millennials leave a job in under three years, This is really bad news for us at Oracle as we take a lot of college recruits. This is the first generation in the history of America that hasn’t said it wants a better life than its parents. It wants more flexibility. It’s going to be a different sets of things and fundamentally people who are less loyal. This is really bad news."
So less skills and less loyalty is what MH wants? Yes. Only a few things come to mind. College kids are cheaper = cost savings. Less skills are OK. Why are skills not valued? Old technology does not equal cloud. We can train the less skilled. But why let go the old skills?
Only one reason, age discrimination. MH does not like people over 40. They cost more and they complain. Oh yeah.... and they are smart enough sue Oracle for age discrimination.
