I'm fascinated to hear how the new org will roll out today. Starting to hear information...
Hearing rumors (on good source)...that in the new brand org if you were a manager you will be doing the work of a specialist. You've basically been demoted.
There will also be divesting of a few categories (in terms of brand dollars)...surprising, b/c they they said a few were part of the bigger picture.
Sr. Directors who won't have time to actually influence any work.
Reminds me of 2009..."somethings are just going to have to not get done." Kinda tough when you got Type A personalities and your CFE depends on the quality of your work and no one wants to be the one to let things drop. Sounds like a maddening situation.
It also sounds like it's going to be quite an adjustment for those that remain in demanding roles to pick up the ball and run with it...despite the lack of time and help.
Fewer people doing more work for the same amount of money. Also, with less 'doers' and more 'idea' people...that were kept. It sounds like nike is sending the JV team out there to play against the State Champs. Not in all cases obviously...but when don't get the reps in practice...you're gonna fumble when the pressure is on.
Sorry. Wish we were there to help, this doesn't sound like a recipe for success.
But Nike is best when folks pull together...I'm not sure folks have it in them to keep giving more...maybe you'll get another pity bonus or nothing at all.

Sounds like Global Brand is the place to be less work and more bonus...just buy a good scarf and work on pegging your pants to fit in. I'm sure you can collect enough 'coolness fuel' over there to fuel the Nike Engine. smh
