Through a reliable source I have heard the Mondelez will be exiting DSD format in February of 2018. GAME OVER FOR US FOLKS!!!

Nobody knows when DSD will end. My opinion it will be soon. Sure we have elf trolls on here with fake news. Some posts are credible. Look at all of the signs. Nabisco has been planning for an exit for about 4 years now. Unfortunately DSD is dying. Look at all of the layoffs at Walmart. Stores closing across the country. Online shopping. Incremental sales are a thing of the past. Not enough to keep us afloat. Hang in there and hope we get a good severance. I would definitely be starting to look. That way you can find what you want and not have to settle for anything available. Good luck to everyone
How reliable is that source? February is half over and no announcement made yet. Game not over! We're not the elves😂
Sounds like you're a little off on your February prediction! According to Dirk he said that an announcement will be made closer to the middle of 2018. Possibly sounds like a Q2 exit??

Your next question comes from the line of Ken Goldman with JPMorgan.

I guess my question is on DSD. You talked about your desire to stick with it, but I guess I would ask why, just given few things right. We have the malware incident I guess exposing some of the unexpected vulnerabilities of the system. I mean your biggest competitor in U.S. biscuits is probably doing better than some feared I mean it’s hard to tell exactly how much of that is unique, because of your challenges right. We have the higher cost of transportation and some of your bigger customers are demanding much better fill rates, they’re trying to get trucks out of their parking lot. So I guess I'm curious where is the evidence that we can see on the outside anyway that DSD is really worth the what I guess would be hundreds of basis points to that segment’s operating income?

Well, first of all, I'm just arriving, and to make decision on these it's a pretty important decision. And on topics difficult to read what exactly is going on, we’re seeing the issues that we've been having. Overall, I think it's a powerful asset for our U.S. biscuit business. And so I do want to take some time to go through this and study and see what the cost benefit equitation is for or keeping it or getting out of it. So it's part of our strategic review. We hope to have clarity near the middle of the year. But from my perspective, it’s a bit early to make a decision on that.
Keep your head in the sand!!! Lol
February??
It's February and no announcement has been made!
Keep guessing lol!!
2 years? Hahahah! Keep dreaming! We won't make it out of 2018 and will likely be done before summer. WM is first, just like they were with Keebler, and Kroger will follow shortly after, just like with Keebler. WM is ready, first orders showing pending in their system, saw it yesterday on multiple sku's. Seems like blind NOS orders are a big push for the finish! Once we see our package we may wish we were Keebler, most of their reps left with a company car and $25k in their pocket! They were also told the truth 5 months in advance.
Where's this announcement you speak of??
We're not going anywhere for at least 2 years!
"Fake news"
Game not over yet🎉🎉
Looks like no layoffs!
Keep guessing lol!!!
Thursday Haha haha!!
BOOOM!!!!!!!!!
ex K rep herei. actually an OG Sunshine rep. You all do realize the leftover K Snak reps contracts are done end of 2018. so either K combines cereal and snak reps OR another mass layoff of Kelloggs reps and detail work goes to SAS, ASM Acosta etc...
Just getting ready to dump alot of Acct ppl. Too much there for what they are getting back. We were given no notice of Conf call more then a couple hours. I'm sure some DMS and ZSL knew ahead of time. I got a week of severance for every year of service. There was a retention bonus plus the car which I sold. Honestly I prob pocketed 20k with those 2 alone. I was paid severance until end of 2017 plus collected UIC for 2 months before I got new job. If you think this is going to happen I would dust off your RESUME NOW. Don't wait. I started looking in earnest beginning of May and started new job 10.16. There are K reps still looking for jobs and other broker reps looking also with the whole ChinaMart preferred vendor program RIFFED. I stayed until the bloody end because by end of June it would have to have been a great job offer to walk away from the retention bonus & car. WORK ON YOUR RESUME NOW.
Where did you hear that Thursday's the day?
Thursday?!?!?!
That's a good one!!!
Quit posting fake news unless you can back it up!
Mondelez is still in the denial stage!
One team dream rallies still going on.
No announcement will be made yet
"Fake News"
Only post with creditable info!
The town hall call is Wednesday the 7th
Where did you get this information that Thursday is the day?
All employess will be notified this coming Thursday of their impending layoff. Game over!!!
My walmart got a email yesterday confirming were done in april at walmart. Receiver was telling me the news. Only a matter of time before other stores follow.
We're just going CAO in Walmart.
Not exiting DSD.
You're confused!
Game is not over yet!
I am in a senior management position with Mondelez, and I can assure you that DSD will be ending, starting in April of 2018, an announcement will be forthcoming in February 2018 there will be packages and Severance offered to full-time employees, but nothing will be offered to any part time employees, we were told to try to keep everything as normal as possible, so as not to disrupt business until the announcement, the company does not want panic and mass Exodus.
No account can handle merchandising Frito! Reason they will leave DSD last! Mondelez is easy! And getting easier cause we continue to lose space! Wake up
Game on!
Rally meeting said that We're committed to DSD!
Frito lay is on CAO and they're still committed to DSD
They skipped the Kroger piece at our rally as well, not an accident. Kroger has been testing for sometime and continues to add stores to the CAO test. They cannot hide the WalMart piece, our skus are in their telzons. The c---amamie story about them,"adding to our orders is laughable". Kroger they are still trying to cover up. This has been in the world for years, they just don't want a mass exodus before we are done. Not fake news!! Not started by the elves!!! Nice try management!!!
Was only told Walmart at the rally.
Kroger is going CAO in April also?
They said this site was started from the elves and is fake news
Oh boy!! They have strong motivation to make you believe we are not leaving DSD, but DSD is over! They can lie because in the end they will hide behind the ,"it wasn't our decision". Kroger and WalMart are leaving DSD, wake up
And smell the coffee!
DSD isn't going anywhere!
Sales rally meeting assured us that were not going anywhere!
One team one dream 2018!
Keebler elves spreading rumors!
They said that this page is fake news!!
The elves were not lied to! They were told 5 months in advance! We are to believe, since management knows of all the rumors and feels compelled to address, that our two biggest customers are going CAO in April yet we will still merchandise and "tweek" orders? Can't wait, sounds pretty chill, if it's true! Not sure how the company can afford that but they told us,"not to worry, they got our back". If you believe this, I've got some land to sell you! Haha!!
I'm not sure about other's on here but I've been hearing from stores saying that we're going CAO.
Walmart and Kroger stores CAO in April.
If that's the case we should be hearing something soon from Mondelez.
Was your source an elf?
Pretty good insight! That model would not make sense, other than to make you feel your job is safe so you don't quit! Power of DSD is in sales, not merchandising! At our rally we were told a little variation of that scenario, but if you look it closely it too doesn't make sense, unless we are creating a "new DSD" where we only merchandise? No wonder the only way we turn a profit in North America is by eliminating jobs or moving them to Mexico! They are gonna tell you anything you are willing to hear to try to convince you all is well! Don't buy into the BS!!
Was told April for Walmart.
Kroger shortly after.
Supposedly we're still going to merchandise and reps can still adjust orders.
Nabisco driver's Will deliver.
Doesn't make sense to me!
I don't think they are telling us the whole story.
April and as far as where the product is coming from, who cares what they say, they are lying through their teeth! We are going to be exiting DSD, that should tell you where the product is coming from, they just aren't sharing the whole story just yet! Too concerned we are all gonna quit!
When is Walmart going CAO?
Did they mention if our product is going to their warehouses or still coming our of our warehouses?
I agree Game is over!
Kroger is going CAO also. Independents have also been notified.
At this point it's just of matter of when we're all gone not if
Funny how Kroger testing CAO wasn't really directly addressed at rally meetings. We know it's coming, not a chance DSD is sustainable without Kroger on board. Two largest customers moving forward with CAO, are we supposed to believe these customers still need sales reps. Are we going to be a supply warehouse for merchandising support? Think again! We are so done!!
So looks like we are "the band" that is still playing as the Titanic is sinking
Oh my, the BS being fed at these rally meetings is absurd! Even heard a manager try to tell a merchandiser," Keebler is considering getting back to DSD". Sad they think their own employees are dumb enough to believe this! They are gonna try every excuse possible to string people along so they don't quit! embarrassing how little they think of us that people are supposed to buy into their BS! Can't wait to hear how they explain things come April! Probably something like,"it wasn't our decision, but....." Time will tell, tick tock.
Definitely sounds like game over soon!
I bet we're gone by the end of the year or sooner.
The power of DSD is in sales. Regardless of how it starts if CAO starts it will be the beginning of the end! All kinds of BS was said to explain away WM going CAO, just up to people to decipher for themselves. Personally, I believe we will be right behind Keebler as far as exiting DSD.
Is Walmart going warehouse or will Nabisco be delivering to Walmart?
Will we still merchandise?
Yep, 100% agree! It is pathetic the extent of deceit! Last time they told us our jobs were safe at a regional meeting, a few short months later they laid off 1/3 of the sales force. The message was clear, "trust us, we got your back".
We will see!
