Supposedly it is in place for shrink purposes. I don't see how. Levis are stll being stolen, even with the ink tags on them. Ink tag removers are $10 on eBay. AP knows this but hasn't done anything about it (and not just for Levi's, but for the whole store), yet we "must" get this report done so it can be stuck in a binder. What does this report do, and why is it just for Levi's? There are tons of other merchandise in the store that is just as high value, if not of a higher value, than the Levi's (not that I'm advocating for this report).
This "801" report is time consuming. It's not a big deal when there is ample coverage and enough people to work on other things in the backroom, but it stings when you're alone most of the day and you have a ton of other, more important things to do. Of course it requires using the SNC. We all know any task involving a SNC ends up being a painful ordeal because they lock up and crash.
Guess how much time was wasted scanning 118 pairs of Levis, which isn't a whole lot? Try three hours. Three hours that could have been spent processing the remainder of a 750 piece truck for the floor (most of the time it is done alone, by the way) which now takes multiple days due to having no payroll.
