Rumor mill aside (I hope), some have made statements to the effect that what Tipsord is doing will save the company. Maybe, maybe not. What I have observed is this: Tipsord and his minions (especially A. Pettit and S. Arnold) were the ones behind the Systems effort about 4-5 years ago to achieve "All, All, All" by way of the "future of the company" -- the Integrated Customer Platform. This was strategic "silver bullet" about which anyone with a reasonable amount of experience could have provided a dose of realistic advice (and some probably did, to no avail). There was NO POSSIBLE WAY it was feasible, yet they pressed onward. Within 3 years the effort was shut down.
The same "leaders" stood up a whole new department. Again, anyone with a reasonable amount of experience could have pointed out the redundancies and inefficiencies it would create. That department added hundreds of people to the ranks of the roles currently targeted for 50% reduction. Many uprooted their families for the "opportunity." These so-called "leaders" are basically carving out the very department they thought it was so necessary to stand up.
Meanwhile, they get to keep their jobs -- even with promotions.
Talk about throwing millions, if not more, out the window! What financial geniuses they are!
So if you think they'll save the company, think again. Their track record isn't that great so far.
