Thread regarding Mondelez International Inc. layoffs

New Walmart bin system

Walmart grocery Mgr just informed me of their new binning system for CAO. We bin our product just like any of their stuff and it will be scanned before it leaves to be stocked on the shelf. Store has received DSD specific handhelds but have not gone through training on it yet.

Ain't that the truth! Management has seen to have gone away from that. Upper management knows what's going on. They're dropping like flies or taking new positions. Won't be much longer now folks

I'd feel more job security if someone was still tracking units per hour and sending out monthly goals to focus on, for merchandising. Crickets...

Eventually all the territories will be eliminated. Initially they sure won’t need reps in WM. Keebler pulled reps out and left merchandisers in WM to clean up for the month. April is the month Keebler reps were told about the exit from dsd but they did not have to inform employees until 60 days prior, that’s the reason they gave all employees incentive packages to stay till the end, full and PT emoloyees. Mondelez will likely not offer the same incentives. Keebler paid their PT help more and gave them a car allowance. We won’t be told until the last possible minute so people don’t leave in masses. People should believe what they want but need to be realistic, it is coming!

Every vendor that does business with a retailer has a contract. Product does not arrive on shelf by chance. Pay for space a d retailers earn money through co marketing contracts. Very complex contract. We have a dsd contract to do business the way we do, others use the warehouse model and pay slotting fees, etc. Our dsd contracts are ending. Don't misunderstand anything, it has nothing to do with how much money we make as some have stated in here, our customers only care about how much money they make and they can make more without us and be more competitive in the sales environment. Managers are blowing a lot of smoke!

People keep referring to 'Contracts ending"

Which contracts are we referring to? Operations? Like with the drivers/teamsters? Or is there something else I'm unaware of?

"Fake news" person, management has a different agenda than you! They are trying to retain employees until the end of dsd! Yes, that's correct, the end of dsd. When it ends is a little bit of a moving target. If it will end is not! Stores are held to a confidentiality agreement, so their senior management is closed lipped, but those in the stores, we work with, know it is ending! Red flags galore! Wake up!!

It will gradually go away. First the walmatians then kroger, then others. Maybe not that exact order but something like that. Routes will be rearranged and gradual layoffs. Keep a few stragglers to fill in the service gap till the bugs are worked out.

Post ID: @4jqn+Sgq8p8X

Tell me then, where do the savings come from if they go CAO but everything else stays the same. We can't keep operating in the red. Just doesn't work. Can't come close to our competitors prices. Sale will continue to decline. Am I missing something?
