Not necessarily a fake post. I was laid off a year ago, and I can tell you that I enjoyed working at Sun^H^H^HOracle. And that should give you the idea. A lot of people who were laid off were from acquisitions and their organizations carried on without changing a lot, up until Oracle laid the people off. In Europe, at least, the layoffs were quite fair and you can't help but feel some nostalgia for the job.
I have a different job right now that I enjoy, I like the people I work with, and of course, I'm aware there's no going back to the way it was.
But at the same time, I'd be very happy if I was able to continue doing what I was doing and working with the people I worked with.
However, I'm quite aware it's not going to happen. Going "back" to Oracle is not actually going back. The team I worked in is disbanded, the department I was in is not hiring locally. If I moved to Oracle, it would be a completely different team, different job, different responsibilities and different people.
Panta rhei.
