OTS woes

I find it telling that regional OTS coordinators come in to do a pre cert walk and say things like " I really don't care when it came in. Just mark a date on it that seems like it's reasonable " Really! Why are we doing this? Surely something will change in August. It may be even worse but the idiocy has to end somewhere. I followed sop to a T today when ordering and shelves will most certainly be barren on Saturday. Replenishment is on Tuesday....Cool...just following the rules here.

There are also an abundance of greedy rich stock holders and owners of companies. These companies need to realize they cannot exist without TM. Just because we don’t live in a third world country doesn’t mean we shouldn’t be paid well for the work we do.

So we aren't supposed to complain that people are abusing the system and making work miserable...because life might be worse for someone somewhere else? This is a site about work. Present solutions if you have them but don't post condescending garbage to people who generally live paycheck to paycheck about how much better their lives are since at least they aren't dying. Srsly...damn...

While much that is said on this website is true or debatable, bear in mind that your children where not killed in an air attack, gas attack or kidnapped and drag away while you watch hopelessly, there is always someone, somewhere in a far worst situation then most of us can imagine, its just a job folks, focus on your lifes, family, friends.

You can see how unhappy people are at the stores now. Everyone looks drained and frustrated. They should have just gotten rid of people that had not been doing there jobs instead or dragging the good ones down as well.

OTS is a great way to bully/harass TLs. What other company would roll out a program with little training and constant changes, while cutting labor, yet expecting teams to be prepared for spur of the moment walks? Oh yeah, throw in more sale tags for teams to take up/down (barely have labor to even take care of stocking shelves, forget all this OTS garbage) for good measure and you have the perfect storm to run good employees off while keeping the bullies and a--kissers on. So much for Amazon's "customer obsession": No one is on the floor anymore!

OTS is a way to drive people out if you force out high paid TM to make them want to quit.You can hire someone to do there job for less money after they leave.

OTS... OTS... I find it insane that this system is still in use! As the post originator pointed out - OTS always leads to OOS. The data is based on the previous 4 weeks sales to predict the next days sales. Never mind the fact there are so many more factors affecting product movement... promotions, seasonality placement within the store. Nevermind the fact it wasn't available the last 2 weeks out of the four we are using to come up with the "par". N ever mind Bezos has a flying rocket suit with missiles! His robots are coming for me....
