First, I am a realist.
Dell has more good employees (including management) than bad just like most other companies. The pay is fair, work there for a few years and try to leave, in this market you will probably take a pay cut. With no college degree I started in 1997 and now I make 100K. No, the company isn't as fun as the late 90's during the tech explosion but I bet that's not uncommon with other companies. I've worked in a few departments that required Xanax for while but I moved departments and my life improved. If you hate where you are, move to another org. No, it's not easy but I've been able to move from tech support, PG, marketing, channel sales and direct sales. Mentor and improve your skillset and you can definitely move departments. (not with the attitude that some of you have). I've been laid off and I also took the 2014 buyout but I came back in 2015 and it's been great. I'm happy now and will stay but I will leave and find another company before I go on complain on this site.
