Nowhere have you read that they are investing in dsd, it ain’t happening! Consolidating ain’t investing, its cost cutting! Only reason they say they aren’t focusing on cost cutting anymore is they can’t! They have us to the bare bones. Territories are too big as it is, reps aren’t even able to sell, too busy merchandising and tweeking CAO. Nobody expected Mondelez to be stand alone this long, expectations were we would be sold. Unfortunately nobility wanted to buy us! Keep believing we are here to stay, just don’t say you weren’t warned!
That's a joke! Reinvesting in DSD! Store's don't want us around anymore! Especially Walmart and Kroger! They want the margins. Buying back the 2 billion is for our severance pay and slotting fees. You'll soon see. DSD is dead!!
Listen to the investor call. Clearly states investing in DSD.
That's why we were down better than 3% for awhile. No clarity on anything. Just we're going to sell more, do things better, cut cost's, ect, ect. Investor's want to see a game plan, not could, should, would. 2 Billion in stock buy backs coming, don't be surprised to hear we're sold.
Where does it say that they are investing in DSD? I never read that anywhere. E-commerce was highlighted. Putting the customers first. Eating habits are changing. Same B.S. I've been hearing for a while. Nothing about DSD I read.
I understand that if the plan is to exit DSD they dont want to let the news out before they are ready.. However, why are they telling investors that DSD is part of the long term strategy and they will invest in DSD? Maybe im just naive .
That's exactly way DSD will be around for a lot longer then it should, because exiting would be the smart thing and who here thinks we ever do the smart thing
Nothing would be said about dsd ending. That would be the kiss of death. They need to keep things as hush hush ad possible until they are forced to announce. Not so much even about a mass exodus but more so about the “I don’t care attitude” people will naturally get when they did out they are losing their jobs and careers for some. People don’t need anymore fuel on the fire for that, this company’s inability to function is already reason alone for a lot is us to give up on caring! I for one and giving them the bare minimum until we get the call! Tired of “giving it my all” and having logistics or supply chain ruin it! If people feel better thinking their jobs are safe and dsd isn’t going away, so be it! Most of us know much better! Simply cannot sustain in today’s competitive market!

Nothing was said about dsd existing or not even close to that. We will be around for a long time to come. Keep guessing which month and year people......lol

Dirk has nothing to do with stores opting out of dsd. Nothing!! Bottom line is they don’t want to pay for “full service”! CAO can order, or get close enough, and clerks can merchandise and they can make more! Duh! DSD is ending! Timeline may not be crystal clear, but it won’t be long!!

Just because the company is keeping DSD that doesn’t mean that there will not be layoffs. The moral is terrible. This is not a good company to work for anymore.

If you go on indeed and search Mondelez you will see that no job postings for 9 day's now. Normally there's job postings daily. Won't be much longer now! DSD is dead!

Yep definitely the start! HR conference calls to most likely follow. Changes are coming for sure. No way we stay status quo!
The call itself is likely irrelevant but I think it will be the starting point for some significant change. My opinion and I've been wrong before.
Just busy throwing cases, which is kinda funny since I’m a sales rep. Seems like all we do now is throw cases. I don’t even have time to sell.
The call is irrelevant, but dsd is indeed ending! We will see changes around 10/01, start of Q4. Not asking anyone to believe, believe what you want.

I will be in SHOCK if there are no layoffs !! The sales reps are getting paid way to much to stock shelves. We do not sell anything anymore. We might get the call before September 5th . These buyout calls or layoff calls are always at the last minute. I have been through three of them already.

I wish people would listen. It is a call as I will be meeting with a group of people to listen. He is not going to announce that certain people will be let go but we should get some direction on the strategy going forward. Layoffs etc. Will follow in the coming months.

Its not even a call. It's just a Yammer Video conference c-ap with questions. Nothing of any importance will be said. Even on the 7th with his review coming up. We will be here for atleast 2 more years through 2020 we have contracts til then.
