Haven’t heard of any firings last week, they are probably back investigating and will do another wave when they have a list of names compiled. The #witchhunt continues

As a still employed associate, this is so disheartening. Very disappointed in Fidelity for this absurdity. They should have just fired the Jacksonville people and shut off the programs instead of then embarking on this #witchhunt

Quit to save your career

If you quit before you are questioned, you should fine. It seems through previous posts that Fidelity notifies FIRNA a week before you are fired that you are under investigation. If you quit in-between Fidelity notifying FIRNA and them actually questioning you, you are probably screwed. If you quit and give two weeks, I am not sure if they can spot audit you in those 2 weeks. Once you are out, you are good, I mean, unless it was real fraud and not this complete #WitchHunt. What triggers the FINRA audit is the U-5 which the employer has to fill out stating why you left. If you leave on your own, no big deal. If they cat walk you out because you exchanged your Fitbit for a different model without redoing paperwork, your career is pretty much over. How jacked up is that? One day this #WitchHunt is going to be a case study in a business class on how not to run a company.

Bumped from @SUABhNe-exrw for important info.

The blogs are a great idea, put are going to take a lot of effort to gain traction. The media is mostly in bed with Fidelity, until they prove otherwise. The easiest way to make a difference is probably social media.

Throw up something like the following to all your lists on social media (probably takes less than a minute and works for active employees too...unless they want it to continue):

Over 200 employees of Fidelity Investments have had their personal privacy invaded, and as a result, have been fired. This is happening to people that I am close to without any proper media coverage. Please share this link below to help bring an end to this #WitchHunt.

There’s no appeal through Fidelity man. They may have sold you that to keep stringing you along. No one survives the #WitchHunt if you are brought in for questioning. You will not get one single thing personalized in writting because they don’t want anything additional to be held against them in court. 30 days from your termination date they will file your U5 and you will see your U4 flag in brokercheck. Go get an attorney.

This just shows you the length Fidelity is willing to go to put up a farce that this process is fair and balanced. Why string people out like this? It’s like ruining ones livelihood isn’t enough...

You may think this is crazy, but your first email should be to President of the United States:

https://www.whitehouse.gov/contact/

Then follow it up with a Tweet to his Twitter handle @realDonaldTrump. This is an atrocity, he should be at least briefed that hundreds of great people are now unemployed and severely crippled from gaining future employment because of this #WitchHunt. If there is anyone that can spread a message, it is him. If enough people reach out, he may respond with a Tweet.

As far as other reporters, I would try and get the story into the hands of the "Today" show editors. Something on TV and not behind a paywall on the internet. Their Twitter handle is @TODAYshow. I think now with a clear picture, the story is much easier to report.

To the fitness exchange poster, I feel bad you have to go to bed each night now feeling like you do. If it means anything, in my eyes, you did nothing wrong. So what do you do now...you pray. Don’t go and be forthcoming. Any other firm, they would respect you coming forward, fix it if it needs fixing, and let you go about your job again. It’s full blown #WitchHunt mode now. No one is going to stick their neck out for you, because Fidelity already set the precedent that if paperwork was not redone and something was exchanged, you will be fired for fraud (end of story). Doesn’t matter the amount, the rationale, literally nothing matters other than you did you redo the paperwork. If they let you walk, the people that were fired will riot. Not saying this is acceptable behavior for a firm to take, but it is what it is, know what your working with. If you are licensed, I would get out...if it was through Acclaris that this happened, I would quit tomorrow. If you are not licensed, maybe you hang on. I dunno, just a terrible situation. I was fired already, don’t think your totally normal and acceptable response is going to save you if you are questioned is my last piece of advice. All comes down to a yes or no if you redid paperwork, and they already know the answer once they pull you in for questioning.

It's not an audit, it's a #WitchHunt

Next Fidelity will be firing employees for not logging time out of the office in Time Trade or RMs setting appointments in CAS that they did not book themselves and were provided by their reps. Best not have one toe nail detour off that green light.
