Thread regarding Whole Foods Market Inc. layoffs

Ruder customers

Is it just me or have the customers become ruder in the past several months (mainly, since Prime Savings became a thing?)

I mean, we've had bad situations before, but never in the number and intensity as we've been having lately. And over such trivial matters.

I'm not just imagining things, am I?

You don’t have the same customers. Those former WF shoppers are going somewhere else.

It's the new American way.

I've seen a tangible increase in people being rude, demanding or just plain obnoxious, both as WFM customers and out in daily life. It seems like people have forgotten basic manners and consideration.

Last week I was horrified when a long time colleague, who has for years been sweet, kind and always thoughtful of others, unleashed a hostile and racist rant about homeless people in her city. It was such a shock, as this person was the last person to ever be mean or judgemental, and absolutely never racist!

It stopped me in my tracks and made me ponder what is happening to people lately.
