Apple becomes first trillion dollar company.

Apple went full services. Full services means Apple owns data. Apple understands what 'world class' means. World class, services, data attracts loyal customers.

Intel needs a new fresh CEO at top. Somebody not within the walls of Intel. Someone that wants to make the brand Intel "World Class" again. Someone who understands Intel needs to provide "Services". Someone who understands a "Data Center Group" should actually own "Data".

Not one single Executive inside the walls of Intel Understand this concept. Until then Intel will never be a "trillion dollar company"!

Comparsion, That's like in the same time-frame (Late 90's and early 2000's), HP's then CEO sold off HP's profitalble business's like measurment, instrumentation and test, process, (Semiconductor process and services), Medical Imaging and HP's highly profitable cash-cow (HP 9000 mid-range servers) . These were all profitable and growing businesses . This CEO did not fully grasp how these businesses made consistent contributiions to the balance sheet and cash on hand, regardless of the economic or business cycles..

$4.0T South Sea Co. (also 1720)

$1.7T PetroChina (~2008)

$1.5T Saudi Aramco (Now)

$1.0T Standard Oil (1911)

And how many companies did CRB buy in 1999-2001, only to gut the products because they weren't based on IA? An audacious vision beset by audaciously bad execution.

Remember how we got here....in the 2000s, Intel’s stated vision was to be the “building block supplier to the internet economy.” There has never been an AUDACIOUS vision...because there hasn’t been an audacious leader since Andy.
