Thread regarding Xerox Corp. layoffs

Where do we go from here?

Low morale, growing attrition, melting benefits, more work for less pay... I'm just wondering, where will Xerox go from here? We are already hitting rock bottom. With employees so unhappy, there is no way we'll see any movement up any time soon. So where DO we go from here?

I'm getting out, I know that much at least...

I have heard the rumor John V. gets a $25M bonus if Xerox is sold with a certain time frame.

Last comment is spot on. I saw what was happening, but held on for the severance since I'm a multi decade employee. That of course backfired when it was capped at 8 wks just weeks before I received my notice. For anyone holding on, thinking they've been spared and will be part of the new glorious Xerox, that light at the end of the tunnel is a train. It's over folks!

It's as clear as day...Xerox will be sold; Whether it is sold as an entity or broken up & sold piecemeal. In short order it will not exist as you know it today. As previously mentioned just Google Carl Icahn’’s business history.......not being facetious but Xerox “is toast”. So sad but truth is what those who remain need to hear. You ARE going to lose your job. Find another....might be uncomfortable, you might need to pack up & relocate or whatever it takes to feed your family.....just get your head out of the sand & really start looking NOW. It’s “about to go down”..........

Especially since Xerox is no longer seen as competition.

As an employee, I don't want to see a mass exodus until I secure my new job first. Then I really could not care less what happens to X. Actually, a mass exodus could be better for the employees, although many may have stocks or options. Former employees and competitors likely have better things to do than to post factual indicators of the current X down-spiral.

Having my finger on the company's pulse, all of the statements from the initial post are correct, plus X is really treating it's customers poorly. Even very large contracts are badly managed to the point where competitors can easily displace X. Sure there is a revenue stream, but leadership does not properly protect it.

It really does feel like short term moves to goose quarterly results, and to get a marginally better bids at a fire sale auction.

"How many competitors or disgruntled formal employees are posting on this site in the hope of encouraging mass exodus?"

Could be some. Or it could be all the c-ap being dealt the past couple months. Until Xerox sets a direction, reassures employees they are valued, the people responsible for making Xerox what it was will be leaving for new opportunities, leaving those that can't find anything else left.

Finally, somebody gets it. Icahn's MO can easily be researched.

Xerox continues with the ridiculous

' just watch us now' propaganda, but it's nothing but smoke and mirrors. The last giant splash before the Titanic goes under is just around the corner. Go get your popcorn.

When my manager is feeling insecure about his/her job and things are very quiet (from CEO and SVPs) ... that's what will yield low moral and uncertainty. JohnV ... you have got to be more positive and vocal in your plan so that moral can improve ... unless that is what you expect.

You know the end goal is to pad the pockets of Icahn and the other activist investors right? This has nothing to do with the longevity of the company or brand. Research what he has done at ohwr organizations and there lies your answer.
