I don’t think there is another person on the planet as stubborn as Eddie is. The fact that even he has given up is actually a major blow to your company. Let’s be real here....is there any person you can think of that would keep a company who loses billions a year going for almost a decade? Anyone else who would go as far as to lend his own company money to keep going? Honestly I don’t think another person like that exists.
Despite whatever motives he had, I don’t think sears has been a viable business for years and him stepping down means even he sees that now.
Which of course means it’s highly unlikely someone else will think it’s a viable business either.
It would possibly be a good think 5-6 years ago when there was greater chance for a turnaround but it’s really one of the worst things possible now.
Once the money runs out again it might actually be gone for good this time.
