“We’re Mondelez not Kroger”? Oh, maybe we can stay dsd at the Mondelez stores, how many of those do you have? None? Oh, well that’s an issue! Since the store reads “Kroger” on the sign then I suppose we will have to follow Kroger’s wishes. Probably the same with Wal Mart! Maybe when we open Oreo and Triscuit stores we can remain DSD?!

“Oh no, Kroger is too big”! Hahaha Retailers have to adapt to the changing environment in retail to maintain profitability! Closing outdated factories, dumping DSD, reducing inventory, etc.. They have looked at this years ago and began implementing things years ago! Take a stab at how long it takes to move from DSD to warehouse for a company the size of Kroger or Wal Mart? And for Mondelez? These rally meeting are a weak attempt to make people feel good that their job is safe while they are working (right in your face) to eliminate DSD. What’s amazing to me is to see the excuses people are using to convince themselves that DSD is here to stay! Bottom line is these people won’t belive DSD is ending until is smacks them in the face!!

Much easier to find a job when you have a job! Don’t let that little severance they may offer keep you from protecting your family! Won’t be worth it in the long run! 2020 is only 10 months away from now, and that’s if we make it that long! My bet is we will see downsizing occur in waves and if history tells you anything, April is a favorite month for Mondelez to make changes. New position starts in April!

If we're going into retailers warehouses, why did the West Chester DC expand? Makes no sense to me.

Retailers are the driving force behind the elimination of dsd! Mondelez knows the end is coming and has been preparing for this exit for literally years! Retailers have also been planning for this exit and to move Mondelez into their warehouse. Haha to “were too big”! Mondelez is already in their warehouse people! SKUs will be eliminated to only accommodate top selling skus on the shelf. Limited addition will be forced out on shippers. Lots of changes!

Nothing to worry about folks! Trolls have been spreading rumors on here for over 2 years now! My Kroger manager said that they couldn't handle Nabisco or anymore DSD companies. She said that they have enough issues with what they already have. No Layoffs!!

A cross docks or warehouse delivery would use a 53' trailer. 28' "half set" trailers are perfect for urban store delivery. Almost all equipment is leased and can be terminated at anytime.

Correct, double trailers are for moving product to retailers warehouses! Very simple folks!

Double trailers are not for cross docks. They would only be used to shuttle trailers to satellite yards. The route drivers would be stationed away from their home branch.

All the team $ we earn through incentive programs throughout the year, we almost never see! At least the $ the DM manages! They use it to feed their 🥃 addiction. We work, they drink! And nobody watches. It’s pretty sad. Makes us real motivated to sell sell sell, so they can drink!

Your micromanaging boss just hopes you show up everyday and work let them micromanage u all they want you hold the cards not them the last thing that want is mass exodus because if that happens your micromanaging boss might have to work and they don’t want to do that. Since our DM doesn’t leave home and the RMS does not know where our stores are, it’s works every time! The more ways they think to track us the more creative we get!

Those that say “business as usual” must have never been through a mass downsizing before! 2015 we had regional meetings 90 days prior to 1/3 of the reps being let go to assure us there were no layoffs coming. Haha! See, they will try to create this “business as usual” atmosphere as to not disrupt things. They like the blindside approach to try to maintain personnel. Appears there are a number of people that are buying in! Once people become aware they “we don’t care” attitude will kick in!

Kroger forecast called for the elimination of DSD years ago, reason they built a $60milliin distribution plant in N Ky, 30 min from WC depot. Hummmm🤔

I was told that West Chester is adding more lines in the new building. I am very confused. Why would they add lines if we are exiting DSD?

Some folks are in for a huge surprise!! Retailers don’t care about how much money dsd makes Mondelez, they only care about is much money dsd costs them!! They can make a lot more money without dsd, that’s why dsd is ending!! Wise up!

Carlisle already runs doubles and triples to deliver DSD. Thing that's bad is that there's no pallets on the trucks due to weight limits. The driver has to unload and load onto a empty pallet at the store

My DM has been in their role for over 8 years and had the same territory.

I’ve worked with them 1 in 8 years and my stores have no clue who my DM is. Funny thing is they micro manage the reps, our DM does not answer their phone, reply to questions, or ever show up in the field. We literally only see the DM for vacation picks, have not had a meeting all year long. Yep, they don’t care so why should we? It won’t be long and I too will ride the wave until it crashes. Nothing extra, I am just esentially a merchandiser with a car. I’ll be ready to move on when the wave ends!! Prepare yourself!

The way I see it is that I'm on house money at this point. I figured that we would have been gone already. I'm staying till the end. Get everything that you can get from this company. Collect a severance and go on unemployment until I find what I want to do. I've learned not to care so much. My bosses sure don't seem to care anymore. Do what you have to do and nothing extra.
