Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Changes coming after the buyout

After the buyout dust settles, much of the call center work is landing in the fXO center in Sagainaw MI. It is more expensive than offshore but cheaper than VES/VZB stateside. Some of the techs there are already doing VZB work. The center has capacity for 600 and there is only 100 there now. The fXO Dallas will he gutted via the buyout and RIF.

Don't fool yourselves Saginaw XO will close. Been a good run. Accept it and move on. There is no way Saginaw Michigan will stay open.

@WoeXOOC-fbr were those folks technical? Saginaw hits the ground running as they are already doing similar work.

Any chance that ex-VZW call centers that have recently been closed or HBA’d might get the Saginaw treatment? Huntsville, Lincoln, and Mankato come to mind.
