7 new trailers

We just got 7 new trailers dropped off to our warehouse over the weekend (with liftgates)

No I’m not implying, I’m flat out telling you they are lying. If you can’t figure out why, that’s sad! Your leaded car and leased phone...big deal! They simply are returned! Company has no exposed liability. When dsd ends management will play dumb and blame decision on retailers! Meetings are their attempt to conceal all red flags dangling right in your face! Kinda hard to miss. Quit making excuses to convince yourself otherwise!

Upper management saying that everything will be fine. Are you implying that they are lying? Why would they have these meetings and tell us how valuable we are? My new phone is in the mail and I got a new car in December

Go back to lala land! You honestly think WM invested all that money in CAO only to have nothing change? Yeah right! We won’t be in WM much longer! Hard to imagine you can’t figure that out!

No need to hit send!! DSD isn't going away anytime soon! No layoffs! It's just cao. Order's will still come from Nabisco driver's and warehouses. Rep's will oversee the ordering and merchandizing will still be occurring like in Walmart. Nothing too worry about

For being a leader in the global snacking companies it’s pathetically sad that Mondelez is now only embracing these sort of perks. Expect to see more of this since once dsd ends they will have a lot more 💵 to fund these programs. Without these types of benefits Mondelez won’t be able to attract top talent. Sad that the funding will come from the likely elimination of 1000’s of employees.

Nice of them! At least they are being honest. If we get to 2020 I’d be shocked! I still thing we will see a round of cuts come end of Q1 2019!

OMG! Really? Good try! Well, not actually! Mondelez appears to want to “spiffy up” their image. Maybe that age discrimination lawsuit they lost could have been a wake up call? I highly doubt it though! That behavior is rampant throughout this organization! When layoffs hit, ask a lot of questions before u sign anything!! It may pay off!

Someone started drinking the kool aid already. That new car smell messing with your brain!!!! Has nothing to do with DSD. Clinton passed this law years ago!! All companies have to abide by the laws. Just like Mondelez to take credit for this 😆

Well done team!!

We’re happy to announce that MDLZ will be implementing a new contemporary parental leave program with globally consistent minimum standards, to give all parents time to bond with their new child or children – time that allows them to adjust and thrive in their new family situation. It’s a move that allows us to put in place minimum standards of parental support and benefits wherever colleagues are in the world – whether they’re a mother or father. Our new parental leave program is just one of the ways we’re driving a more diverse and inclusive culture at MDLZ. We’ll continue to share our progress on our other Diversity & Inclusion focus areas in the coming months. #TeamMDLZ

If you think dsd is continuing because they continued the scholarship program, wrong! Just cause dsd ends would not mean the end of these programs! Your phone and car can transfer to someone else! Plenty of those to retire. People aren’t thinking very realistically! Ending dsd would not close the doors on Mondelez, just unemployee anyone associated with dsd!

Looks like the Dirk announcing DSD is over thread disappeared!! This site is so full of fake news. Nobody knows when DSD will be ending. All I can say is a just got a new car and new phones coming soon. Scholarship program starting. No way we are exiting DSD anytime soon. And yes I know reality and nope I'm not a cheerleader so don't bother posting your fake news spew!!

DC, not sure how long you’ve been with Mondelez, but after almost 20 years I can attest to the fact that management has a history of not always telling the truth. One of the core values is to be open and honest so they often talk out of both sides of their mouths. Don’t get caught doing the same, without your integrity you’ve got nothing! Just be careful, even if u are only repeating what u have been told!! Ask questions!

Who cares! That’s irrelevant. What percentage of jobs would be affected if dsd were to end??? That’s the question. Not 100%, right? Plenty of people will still benefit from scholarship programs etc!

If you really want to find a fun fact....what percentage of consumer goods in the US are deleivered through dsd? Now ask yourself if we are still too big?? 🤔

That scholarship program, like circle of champions has been around a long time! “Eligible employees”. If you are not an employee you’d be ineligible. Really not that difficult to figure that out. Mondelez isn’t going out of business, just as as Dirk said “continuing to improve”.

Read the fine print of the scholarship program!! For employees. If you are let go, you are not an employee. Mondelez will still exist, just without dsd! Wow! You need to really get a handle!! How many employees at Mondelez and how many involved in dsd?

New phone, turn it back in. New car, turn it back in. Scholarship, no longer eligible. Big deal!!

Thanks DC for telling it like it is. It's all doom and gloom on this site. If i would've listened to them I would already be unemployed lol! I've been told to hit send for 2 + years now. I've heard game over, DSD is dead, Nabisco cheerleader etc etc etc. They'll never be able to get rid of us. They have trimmed all the waste. Also Trump won't let them lay us off.

Also they are doing a scholarship program. No way they'll let us go with them doing these types of programs.

Scholarship Program

Dear NA Community,

We are happy to announce the launch of the Mondelēz NA Scholarship Campaign for the 2019-2020 academic year!! The purpose of this communication is to provide an overview of this year’s campaign and next steps.

What is the Mondelēz NA Scholarship program?

Mondelēz is committed to supporting academic excellence and has established a scholarship program for NA colleagues’ dependents who will be pursuing a post-secondary education in the coming school year. Qualified applicants will be considered by a selection committee, and winners will be announced in Q3.

Game far from being over!! We're just getting started!! One team one dream!!

DC, thank you for your response.

To start, thank you for clarifying who drives the decision to end dsd! Not Mondelēz! With that said, your comment about “we are committed to dsd”, means nothing! It’s irrelevant! It’s nice to be able to say and hide behind so when dsd ends senior management can say “we were committed to dsd, this was not our choice”. Now, if Kroger CEO made that statement or WM CEO made that statement, maybe you’d be more believable. Unfortunately they are not giving out those promises, why? Cause they cannot! Plain and simple! They are committed to their shareholders to be profitable! Dirk is also committed and all will make more money without dsd, he just won’t acknowledge it. Read between the lines of his statements made at Cagny.

As far as information about Kroger and Wal Mart wanting to exit dsd, that is a factual statement! Kroger has had the elimination of DSD as a part of their 5 year forecast and that was 5 years ago! They are on target!

Wal Mart and Kroger are both struggling, you can clearly see that if you look at financial reports and earning statements,

etc. Yes, they want to partner with vendors but that has nothing to do with dsd!

Lastly, CAO orders. Most of those orders are trashed and new orders are written, with the blessing of our DM. 33 cases ordered for stores with a 55 case minimum? I let one WM CAO order come through and it was single handled the worst order ever received. The algorithm provided to our retail partners is garbage! They will figure that out soon enough.

Again, appreciate your response!

Hmmm. Everything I've read about Walmart says they have been trying for several years to eliminate trucks in their store parking lots. They want all national and regional brands going through their warehouse. Exceptions would be the small, local stuff. The future is near. Not a big deal with automated, robotic warehouses.

Ok let me answer your question. Who controls the decision to end dsd? Ultimately retailers have that decision. Walmart and Kroger DO NOT want to end DSD!! This is where you have been misled. I'm not sure where this misleading rumor has came from. They want to partner up with vendors. That's why we are going or already gone to the CAO program. CAO is designed for a more accurate ordering system. It will help eliminate out of stocks. You can't always believe every rumor you're hearing. We've been told that we're committed to DSD. Hopefully the rally meeting being held in the upcoming weeks can give you more clarity to the commitment.

Regards,

DC

DC, I too have noticed that. Any chance you can answer the questions someone posed to you a few posts ago?

The one million $ question is....who controls the decision to end dsd? Since retailers pay for this service, couldn’t the two largest retailers in the country decide they don’t want to continue paying for this service drive a decision to end dsd? Certainly could not continue with dsd without Wal Mart and Kroger.

If this is true, it’s irrelevant what Dirk is committed to, right?

Can you ask your boss and get back to us? Just scratch the surface!

I’m not sure what part you are missing when you make the choice to visit a website about layoffs? This is where people go and share information. It sure appears to also be a site where people are venting, also not a bad thing! Some people spend lots of money doing this in a dr office.

The part where things turn south is probably due to the way people feel that have/are being treated. Mondelez management has a long history of lying and not treating people equally or fairly.

This is the result. Don’t visit this site and expect positive posts, unless of course they are from management. For the few others, like yourself, that appear to be happy...good for you! Hope it can stay that way!

At the end of the day, its just cookies and crackers. The incentives are nice every month/quarter but I would just move onto the next job if or when things are restructured. Why come on here day in and day out to mope about what may be the end of DSD in September, October, November, or any other month of the year? And what kind @- hole encourages others to quit their jobs when they themselves are probably still throwing cookies and crackers and wouldn’t have the guts to do that very thing they are pushing on others. HIT SEND! HIT SEND! No, I’m not an ELF. I’m not a cheerleader. I’m just doing my job. And doing it well, so that my family and I can live comfortably. If it’s business as usual, great! Let me get back to my job. If my job is eliminated, great! Move onto bigger better things. I won’t be kicking rocks either way

DC, nobody expected DSD to be mentioned at Cagny! But couldn’t DSD be considered in the phase,”reduce cost and increase top line”?

You sorta sound like my DM? Full of c-ap! It’s business as usual....until it’s over! Business as usual is certainly not a phrase that can be applied to retail in 2019! That statement was reiterated at the last rally meeting by the RVP! May want to get your story straight! You’ve just lost all credibility, sorry!

It’s sad that people can’t fogure that out! You’d probably get a more direct line of sight if you were at the WM or Kroger shareholders meetings, they are driving the decision! Can you blame them? They can make way more money if they didn’t have to pay for dsd and fund Mr moneybags and his fancy new car, high tech phone, and luxurious trip to South Carolina (haha)! They can use CAO to order, their own stock boy to put on the shelf, and charge us to put our product in their warehouse if we want to do business! That’s called a “no brainer”! We will still have CRM and CBT etc, just cut out DM, RMS, SR, SA, SSR, and PT merchandisers. Add it up people! Cars, health care, PTO, salaries. Absolute no brainer!
