Market Managers Termed

Just a question , a lot of noise about those termed. Certainly not to be disrespectful in any way. I am only asking because there is no communication as to how or why some of these people were termed.

Does anyone know if it was for cause, performance , consolidation, just asking if anyone really knows how those decisions were made. Some of those leaders were around a long time. Just seemed to come out of nowhere. I work in a Market. That occurred , just did not have any sense of something like that taking place. I guess you never know, feel bad for families and those who lost a job, it’s a difficult thing. ESP if one spent a large part of your life with a company. Do not know whether they were good leaders or not, did not know any up close. Our MM never talked to hourlies, so no offense meant just was not very social but would talk with Managers . Guess that’s the job. Just wondering if anyone had any insight , not a good feeling when that happens to folks at that level. They are pretty high up in the Company.

Well our FMM was the best listened to concerns and if felt addressed the issues. even though I feel like they are getting rid of long term and we're all a number they will choose the right people to run the markets. It's heartening all the sadness the uncertainty the not knowing.

It's like what they did with MAPM a couple years ago. They let go of several, and the ones left had more clubs to look over.

Just does not seem like it’s over yet... hope it is, it’s just a terrible climate to live in. No one appreciates or feels good about things

while this stuff goes on . So much uncertainty.

I also found out the Market Assistants are gone, wondering if their job was eliminated or downsized as well. Ours was great and very helpful - sad to see her go.

Not sure really what the fate of the rest is but if you do the math and follow the fact that they are going to have three Markets it would be obvious more will be going

These Market Managers were terminated. There are 40 Regions each of them will apply for specific positions. The others not selected will be told to find other jobs or be eliminated. Those termed are gone. They were fired. They will consolidate Markets into three each leaves about 14 positions. If you believe the story. But those termed are gone.

They either got a 60 day notice that they are restructuring the regions and markets or got the notice that they nhave 60 days to find a new position or take a package. Be my guess.

If clubs were absorbed into other markets (restructured) then yes this was away to eliminate positions within the company. Eliminating payroll and long term.

If it had been communicated why the Market Managers were terminated it would go against policy. You will have a Market Manager soon. Each MM now has 3 Markets. The Market Managers may not be terminated. Their markets may have been absorbed when they decreased the number of Market.

Then they would be given so many days to find a new position with the company. Don’t get yourself in trouble assuming they were terminated.
