Just wanted to let you know that if you continue to try and turn us into Home Depot, we will fail. There is not room in this economy for 2 identical home improvement retailers.

There is room for a Home Depot and Lowe’s home improvement.

Lowe’s needs to stick with that got them popular in the first place which is focusing on the home owner! Depot better serves the Pro customers and that is fine. Stop alienating the home owners and DIY customers! They are the reason we are here. They come to Lowe’s because we have a friendly, clean, safe, and non contractor related feel! That is what we need to focus on!

Being mediocre at everything leads to failure. We need to be the best at one thing and that is catering our business model to the home owners/DIY customers.

Stop trying to re-invent the wheel!

Instead of competing w/ Home Depot, we became it. Smart tactic tithead.

Customers come to us over HD for better prices (we dont have that) and customer service.

Marv just took away the only thing that differentiated us from the competition.

He belongs in tool world, right next to the other tools.

valid points! To be "just like" your competitor who is bigger and better makes no sense at all. A tie goes to the runner and a draw goes to the champ so even if we equal them there would be no point. There are so many ways that we could be better than the Depot if we had some real thinkers. To harsh fact is the only reason we are even as close as we are is that Depot is also a very poorly run company and has been since Nardelli got his slimy paws and venom all over it. WE could be much better...maybe not more profitable, but more successful nonetheless. But hey..where is that stock price now???
