@XoKW4ux-3gyf, I’m sorry that is how you were treated by your management team.
The store i work in is suffering from the same staffing shortages, so i also end up doing all of the things you listed in my dept when i should be focusing on sales. It is hell and i am actively looking to leave. I literally work so hard most days that i almost faint from go to hard too long without a break or refresher.
I am lucky though in that my management team always makes it clear how much they appreciate what i do and never put me down. If anything, they always remind me “don’t worry about this. Worry about the customers first. That’s your first priority” and my manager always gets down and dirty helping me when the store is quiet or just taking over whatever project i was on when i have to focus on customers. He and every other managers always thank me for what i did. So i am lucky.
But in the end, i need to do what’s best for myself and my family. A job that pays what Macy’s does should not drain every last drop of energy from you.
