It’s opened! I won’t profess to know an exact timeline, but am very confident in knowing dsd is ending!

When is that new warehouse opening? Post on here says that Nabisco will be warehouse on July 15 in Kroger

To the person bragging about their new phone....ask your Kroger grocery manager if Kroger never intends to phase out dsd, why they invested in CAO? And why they just built a $60 million distribution center? Seems like they are spending a lot of money for nothing then? I too was talking to a GM from Kroger, not from my store he just happened to be shopping there, and he told me that he was working on some special assignments and was in the new warehouse and there was zero chance that Mondelez wasn’t going to be in there! Weird? I think with all the red flags I’ll believe my GM!

Saw those changes too! Wouuld certainly lead one to believe downsizing will occur! With CAO they certainly aren’t going to decrease the size of territories! Bet we see some changes soon! Maybe in time for summer 🤗

I’d have to agree! We will see territory changes prior to a final exit. The 2019 changes to code of conduct, as see in Matt Eckards message on the source, outlining expectations for managers on this issue, certainly would make one think! We will see downsizing start to occur anytime, all leading up to our eventual departure.

All the red flags determine that we are in the final stages of DSD ending. When??? That's the million dollar question. If we look back at Kellogg's exit and compare, I'd say DSD should be ending by 2020 at the latest

We don’t do too much volume, that’s a laugh! We are on average 35-40% of the cookie cracker segment. We encompass maybe one aisle if you took all our product combined. How many aisles are in the the store? They get warehouse deliveries every night. Of course than can handle us. My WM are middle of the road volume. They get grocery trucks of 1700 pieces. Think they cannot handle a couple hundred more a week? Stupid argument! Gonna be a whole lot of merchandisers that are going to be looking for work so there will be a good pool to hire from!

by

Post ID: @Iksi+XuxM94g

Exactly! They do almost the entire store but two aisles but can’t handle Mondelez! Wishful thinking. He probably doesn’t want to work Mondelez, why would he? But Kroger’s management doesn’t care, they are about making money! He won’t make more money, but Kroger will! Same thing with Hostess! They are killing it! GM doesn’t make more money, but Kroger does. Same thing with Keebler. They have had a many flash sales as we have, and have more planned than us for the year!

You talk about your phone like it’s something special? Kind of like your “loaded, tricked out, Chevy Cruz”😭.

Get a grip.

Phones are leased and probably have a 1yr life. With what they saved by switching from Verizon it’s probably a wash!

These phones will be how they take pictures for DMI. They will retain some to take pictures.

Why would they send out new phones if DSD is ending??? Makes no sense!! We're probably still a few years away from a complete exit

DMI is the way they will check compliance when company transitions from dsd to warehouse. Keebler and Kraft/Heinz also use DMI! New position will help with this transition.

No need for DM, information is feed directly to the CRM and CBT to decipher.

That was certainly the hope when Kraft/Heinz went after Unilever! Unfortunately they are not interested right now! They would need to streamline operations before someone would be interested and they would include moving out of the dinosaur dsd model we currently operate under! No matter how you slice it, dsd will end!!

DSD will be eliminated and we will merge back with Kraft/Heinz

One of the goals of Mondelez was and is to grow business and then be acquired or merge. Zero chance anyone would consider this with the overhead of dsd! Zero!!

The “trolls”, of which I guess you label me because I think differently than you, have been predicting an exit from dsd for two years now because for two years now red flags have been emerging everywhere! Starting with Keebler’s exit (hard to ignore) and then the similarities with things at Mondelez. CAO in the two largest retailers in the US, consolidation of branches, eliminating positions specific to dsd,

retailers building $60 million warehouses for vendors, product going pack 6 at the request of retailers, and of course the ever laughable cover up by Mondelez with these rally meetings. Mondelez does indeed have a long history of lying to employees. This go around they can hide behind the fact that retailers won’t pay for dsd, too bad thought that Mondelez has had this info for years now and has been planning this exit away from dsd. Let’s face it, if we don’t exit until 2020, how long do you think it takes amcompany that some keep saying is “too big to exit dsd”, to actually exit dsd. Probably

years to get things done. So the two years people have been observing these subtle changes, probably makes sense!

Some people just choose to ignore every single sign out there, these rally meetings are for you! Keep calling us trolls, sticks and stones right!! Just know people tried to tell you! You are going to look kinda foolish when the truth is revealed!

Management doesn’t lack ethics and honestly, they are totally void of it!! Karma is a bitc$!

From info I found we are about the 20th largest company in the processed food and beverage category in N.A. Too big? Hardly. Have sales been declining in the U.S.? Yes, people are choosing healthier options. Does it help U.S. DSD when we have growth in emerging markets? No. As we try to compete with price and the cost of operating DSD continues to rise our revenue drops. We are a dinosaur playing catch up to the 21st century. Have all the changes the last few years been leading up to an exit? Don't know. I do know management tends to lack honesty and ethics.

I got nothing out of that CNN video. Basically Dirk said that they're looking to purchase health and wellness companies. Power bars and things like that. Has nothing to do with DSD. Any purchases will not go DSD. They will stay warehouse because that's the direction DSD is heading. Everything will be warehouse by 2020. DSD is dead!!

Power brands like...Vea or organic Triscuits? How are those doing for ya? Or perhaps Tate’s? Which by the way are a warehouse item and will continue to be!

Adding snack items that are more in line with millennials is what other companies have been doing for years, Mondelez is way behind in this arena. Mondelez has spent the last 10 years recreating the Oreo and celebrating Oreo and Chips Ahoy every bday! Not working. In underdeveloped countries maying wasabi and seaweed Oreo may work, for a while! Problem is they have sat on their hands too long in the US while customers have changed their focus and eating habits. Now Mondelez is forced to as well!

As we acquire (which is what they will do as opposed to create) these new additions to Mondelez portfolio will remain warehouse items, just like Tate’s.

Keep thinking your job is safe if it makes you feel better! The whole point of the rally meeting is to make you continue to feel that way. Ask yourself why! Cause they know better and need to get to the end of dsd without the wheels falling off!

At least get your facts straight!

Dirk said that we are adding health and wellness to our portfolio! With all of our power brand and now health and wellness, we'll never exit DSD!! Thank you Dirk!! One team at Mondelez!! No layoffs for sure now after watching that!!

Eliminating dsd was a part of Kroger’s 5 year forecast, five years ago! Know first hand.

Retail is evolving, anyone who thinks “status quo” just doesn’t want to face the music! For those with a long career ahead....may want to pay close attention! Retail won’t look anything like it does now, in a year, two years, etc. We are just in the beginning of a retail evolution! Dsd is not a part of that evolution!

No exit this year!! Keep guessing!!!

We are still hiring full-time and hiring rep positions! We are still year's away from a DSD exit. Possible downsizing but I doubt if we ever exit completely!

Thanks for the info!! CAGNY should give us some insight on what direction we're heading in this year. I'm hearing 2020 exit but I wouldn't be surprised to see it happen by August 2019

CAGNY takes place the week of February 18, a conference key investors attend yearly to hear the plans for the CPG companies. Pay very close attention to the words said there. Also, keep ears posted for anyconference calls in the weeks ahead. If nothing, guaranteed DSD is staying this year!

Cheezits are empty on the shelf cause they are selling like crazy! Better pricing! Last weekend my store went through 7 pallets of the family size, not too shabby! Notice all the space Keebler has acquired for those? Meanwhile all my crackers are now virtually a single facing, and our cheese nips, not even in the set! Cheezits also now leads

off the aisle at Kroger!

Coke, Pepsi, and frito May never become a warehouse item. Coke and Pepsi need too much on hand inventory but their reps know their time is limited. CAO will order and drivers will drop but no more reps. Frito has a completely different model, drivers only have a few stores and reps are also drivers. As a sales rep for Mondelez, I’m not a member of the union. I don’t deliver product. Totally different retail model!

For retailers we are going to be very very easy to absorb! They are picking off vendors one at a time to reduce their overhead and help with their, already shrinking margins!

If people don’t see what’s coming, they chose not to!! For the rest of us, just know changes are right around the corner! They will let us know when they are ready! Good luck! And oh, it has been about two years that people have been predicting our exit. Probably since right around Keebler’s exit! Timing may be off a little but all the subtle changes have made it obvious that the prediction of our departure from

Dsd was spot on!!

I think stores are tired of the elf on the shelf. I’m a retired worker and all I see is chips displays and Oreos and ritz everywhere. I can’t even buy a damn cheez it no more. I don’t want a reduce fat cheez it, I want a normal one. I have been in the business for 40 years and Frito lay and Oreo will never go away from direct shipping. They may make changes, but won’t go away from direct shipping.
