Thread regarding General Motors layoffs

Is this the NEW GM??

Worst restructure I've ever heard of, let alone experience. White collar professionals, most enjoyed their career & dedicated themselves, who are then shamed - provided a box, informed how to conduct themselves and escorted out mortified. Before this humility, it was 4 months of speculation, anxiety and unnecessary stress. GM is absolutely squashing the news channels! It has barely been covered, only a quick 20 second report on the # of separations. If the actual separation process, impact on families, suppliers & economy of MI was reported, it would have a negative impact on GM and Whitmer. The fact is, there isn't enough quality career opportunities in MI for us to be absorbed. Potential new employers understand supply & demand, there is a surplus of white collar and will offer mediocre salary. Others who haven't been separated will have 2x more work & stress, GM will inform them to be grateful, they are still employed. Highly recommend to watch "The Company Men" on Netflix - our lives are not as lavish but plot is exactly the same! At this time, everyone must do what's best for them & their families.

Not new GM. Same old GM. Go watch Roger and me. First movie made by Michael Moore. History repeats over and over.
