Thread regarding Mondelez International Inc. layoffs

I’ve never seen a manager fired

I’ve never seen a manager fired. With that said, I’ve never seen a pt time merchandiser fires either. We would much rather keep a lazy merchandiser than to do additional paperwork, meet up with them to get their materials back, and move people around on the schedule to give “help” where needed.

So a quarter close is when you see “truck loads” come back? You must be talking about pallet or two here and there from a truck. From a store that probably refused an order because of excessive back stock. Because of a quarter close. If you say it’s from a warehouse standpoint, then think about how big of a geography that warehouse covers, how many customers are within that geography, those refusals here and there from the hundreds of customers that warehouse supplies could possibly add up to a “truck load”.

Managers don’t get fired!!! Skip’s role is to figure out how to make them “never wrong”! Ask Joan Konsavage, she knows! Different fir her is she challenged the organization...and won! For every Joan there are plenty more Joans that think they can’t, or simply won’t stand up and speak up! Now’s your chance people!! Blow up Skippy’s phone!! 100’s of people, United, surely can’t be wrong....all the time! Turn the tide!!!

In 1996 they fired everybody. Well almost. Kept about 10%. I think it was about 5k employees. It was part of a larger Reorganization that was considered by most to be a failure. Point is, they have a legacy of trying to “start over”.

It is so prevalent! I’ve heard this as a SR from so many drivers, and even a logistics supervisor! Kick backs must be rampant. For as many stories you hear about this, there are probably countless times that nobody heard about! Like with kids, the first time they get caught is usually not the first time they did it, only the first time they got caught! Nothing would be better than to have this exposed. GS may look good in stripes? He’s utilized this practice for years!!

As a nabisco driver for 25 yrs I can also vouch for the driver who said driving around town at quarter end with a full trailor only to bring it back at the end of the day is true. I have done it 15 to 20 times myself over my nabisco career. The problem so much greed by management that the only thing they know is to fudge numbers all to hit a number.
