15996:Seriously? Clifford? as in the super-religious Michael Clifford, or as he calls himself Dr. Michael Clifford?

If he's so serious about higher ed, why didn't he ever indulge himself? His doctorate is honorary & he never went to college. But he sure can make money until it's time to move on... just like CCI recruiting the homeless, losing accreditation and schools closing. Talk about wanting to jump out of the frying pan into the fire.

200,000 is not typical for one class is not typical. Probably a dept head and in many fields they are to conduct research and be published. Doctorates or "terminal degrees" are required at many universities including quality for-profits. Keep on hating. It won't solve any of CCI's greedy problems or help you find a new job.

Everest pays 30 to 40 dollars an hr for the degree program instructors who have Maters Degrees and less for diploma. UC and Community College professors get paid the big bucks you moron. I hate CCI but hate liars worse! The instructors are the victims just as much as the students, they tried to do the right thing.

Adjunct wages start at $1600-2200 depending on experience and education. Faculty make between $19000-$45000 depending on degree and years with CCI. Teaching program directors make $43000-$53000.

The answer might be to get religious support for the schools. This would be a way to teach discipline and self-worth while also providing some academic education as well. Clifford was able to do this at Patten. Grand Canyon has also had success with this approach. Humble pay would not bother those who teach with a mission.

I hate it when random people who don't know anything about CCi come on here spouting stuff that isn't true just to make a political point.

Everyone is worried about the "students", if CCI goes BK then what options do these students have? Seems everyone here hates For-Profit education...What is the answer then?

Overpaying professors is not one of the issues here. Instructors at Cci/Everest Online, make $1900 per twelve week course. When I teach an on-ground course, at other schools, I make between $2000 and $2500 per course, so Cci is barely competitive. I've been a Full-Time Faculty member at Cci, teaching 4 courses per term and performing other administrative duties, and the pay is $54,000 a year. We all have master's degrees, I have a doctorate and 15 years experience. No instructors are getting rich at Cci. The examples cited in that article are rare exceptions, 99% of us are not celebrity faculty raking in six figures. We are hard working professionals, who are not very well-compensated given our education and experience. Every instructor I know at Cci stays because they enjoy helping this very high-risk population of students.

I make $1800 a class as an adjunct. I know full time faculty that make around 45k. I don't think that merits the CCI tuition.
