So now that it’s official, does anyone know how many people in ISG got cut today?

@dp ISG is the Server and Server Solutions division. There are many areas, but primarily Development and Quality. Our VP is Greg Huff. We are primarily in B7 with some groups in B8.

Will be interested to see how this is positioned in the upcoming earnings announcement call. Listen to the language used carefully.

Who is ISG?
What departments are within ISG?
Which Morrisville building is ISG in?

I personally know of 3 technical people cut. 2 from Product Engineering (PE) and one professional services person.

@dc "Why do you think no technical resources were impacted?"

And I heard that tech resources were also impacted.

@bm it’s exactly what’s needed. Top choice? Vector? Less options, peddle midrange gear, “small medium large” options. Train your ISO team to sell it, specialists in ISG for complex deals. Why do you think no technical resources were impacted? ISG will be fine.

@bj more are definitely on the way. There’s no way they can sustain the ISG business at its current level.

No numbers yet, but Morrisville got hit across the board. My manager indicated that Taiwan and China had the biggest impact. With the portfolio in flux, It is quite possible more cuts are on the way.

@ay it’s done. Vague feedback is typical, don’t overthink it. Dust will settle and December 12 is the last day.

Are there more coming this week? Seems like everyone's afraid to say what exact groups are getting hit. It's all very vague here.

ISG is so unstable. Layoffs always in the horizon. Kirk or Gorak, it doesn't matter.

@a2 what makes it official is that I was laid off this am. The language in my conversation made it clear it isn’t just me and will be pretty widespread.

Yeah, I know some of the employees affected already. Very curious to see how widespread. Very very sad and unfortunate.
