I have a generic meeting request from my manager and worker services. Does that mean I'm a dead man walking?

@OP Confirmed. Layoffs are happening today 7/1/26. Sadly Coworkers I've known and worked with for the last several years have been let go. There will likely be more layoffs later this year. I feel blessed that I'm still employed but I'm prepared for when my ticket is called.

most of my department got hit today, no coworkers but everyone above that...
there is no value in any corp job anymore

Got an email announcing it was happening today but it was a bit confusing. It said notifications will come "this morning" but then said if you didn't get one, you're safe. So were they all sent this morning or are they going to come throughout the day?
