and this is while Kate is being paid $25 MILLION DOLLARS A YEAR!!!! But sure, lay off hundreds of people.....
Looking at annual report from 2022 to 2026, Lumen workforce was reduced by 25% since Kate took the reins. Just fact. All her buddies came and left with bucks. I swear I’ve never seen anyone drive a company into bankruptcy quicker than our fearless leader. She’s not fooling anyone in the trenches.
this is why I show up at work each day and simply go through the motions. This leadership team could give a fook less about any of the workers, so why should I give a fook about "the company". If they knew how to run a business and make it make money we wouldn't be in this position. I feel bad for all affected today, and in days to come. We all know it could / will be any one of us next. It is impossible to have loyalty or respect for this company. There is no culture here, just smoke and mirrors.
Perfect title for the next Brene Brown training " How to let down your armor and survive RIFs"
@b1 the previous CEO was a selfish a-hole. He's the one who decided nobody gets even cost of living raises ever again, then left taking multi millions with him. The new CEO brought lots of gaslighting and chaos with her.
@bk what department was your husband in?
Tma. Too many acronyms
Yup my husband got hit today after over 20 years.
Any competitors want the inside scoop? available now and know you're out there!!
OM in LE and SLED got shafted
@OP
They are wiping out CS, SE’s and huge swaths of the LE business support, UCC & Cybersecurity, ain’t no Anthropic or Fiber Firesale going to fix that back office s*itshow…. 4 different business ops Infrastructures and platforms running behind Salesforce as the band aid and only one works semi right…. For gods sake They’re still running Global Crossing infrastructure…. It’s sad, there are a lot of good, smart people there and it’s not a people problem…. The previous CEO was a good ol’ boy grifter on a good day and it’s pretty much his fault.
Of course - they need to layoff the higher quality dedicated workers so they can make room for more poisonous management.
All notifications have gone out. At least that is what the manager stated.
I heard customer success for CTG was impacted. Lots of people who have spent their entire career at Lumen.
Today proves that a broken squirrel finds a blind clock twice a nut. Good job.
Fu--ing sh-t a-s company
@as Agreed 100%!
I’m so sad for those I care about that were impacted. That said, employment at Lumen is a toxic relationship regardless of position. They gaslight you and make you question your own value and abilities. Then they wack you at the drop of a hat. Take personal accountability for your happiness and careers……GET OUT!
any more updates? are they done yet? this has been a lot!! so stressful!
Security overlays too.
CS was hugely impacted. Nearly wiped out except for a few.
Yes
Yes, apparently 600 or more people, from CS, SE, UCC and the UCC SSA'a that were left, Offer Management, and Complex Contracting. I haven't heard of anyone from Sales, but who knows. What is happening with this company?!?!
Anyone in sales?
Any current updates of anymore of those impacted? I think this is the biggest layoffs yet.
@ag Who are they lay offing now?
@ae still going...this one is HUGE!
Can confirm CS and SEs.
Are layoffs done, or still going?
My CS rep told me 2/3rds of the CS team has been RIF'ed including their management. I am also heating UCC Overlays, Security Overlays and SEs were impacted
Do we think the teams of these managers and directors will be laid off as well? or will they just make changes to those teams?
Do you think there will be anymore layoffs after this?
@a9 who cares? They'll do it wrong anyways.
What do you all think is going to happen next? How will the teams be moved around?
Massive layoffs. Managers, directors, customer success. East coast got hammered. Not sure about the rest of the country.
Jan too
I've heard of 10 people so far, across Wholesale, Mid-Market, and Public Sector. Sales and sales support roles.
@OP what groups
@OP I heard Customer Success, who else?
Sure, Jan.
