More T-Mobile stores closing (with layoffs)?

This posting was on reddit on July 2 in the r/tmobile channel

"My DM gathered all of us for a meeting today at 4 PM and gave us 60 day notice, apparently many stores are getting notice today as well and by next month many more stores are going to get notice, if you are not in a top 100 or experience you are unfortunately next on the chopping block, good luck to all of you in future endeavors."

Laid off with less than 30min notice

Got pulled into a call with my manager and told I was laid off with 25min before access was revoked. That's nowhere enough time to handle critical knowledge transfers and other responsibilities. What is the plan when things start falling apart tomorrow, next week, next month? I was leading a critical governance and compliance team, what SHOULD be one of the last ones to get laid off, let alone without any warning or plans.

Global Empire Corporation Layoff Payout Remains Unresolved in Nova Scotia

Global Empire Corporation laid off 74 employees in March 2024. The company closed its call centre in Liverpool, Nova Scotia. A provincial regulator ordered GEC to pay nearly $194,000 to 69 workers. This payout was for failing to provide proper layoff notice. Global Empire Corporation appealed the decision, and the dispute remains unresolved.

Any correlation? Serious question

The call center building we work in will be closing. We've received hints could be the end of the 4th Quarter, 2026, OR the end of the 1st Quarter, 2027. (Basically in the next 6-9 months. We get the impression from events unfolding, it could be the Tuesday after payday on July 7th?! We find it interesting that the call center will have no electricity or air conditioning July 7, 8, 9 due to the Generator going into a "downtime". It could be merely a coincidence, however researching on the web indicates taking down a generator for a building that's slated to close, could be a sign of events unfolding sooner than later.
